Oath of God
- Ta.Seen.Meem. (26:1). That is of signs of the clarifying scripture (26:2).
Note: By taking oath referring to a set of Quranic initials: Ta.Seen.Meem, God has confirmed that this set is one of the signs of the clarifying scripture, while we know that the Quranic initials have multiple roles. Thus, the total count of this set of Initials found prefixed to 2 surahs along with another two sets of Initials, Ta.Ha and Ta.Seen found prefixed to 2 other surahs having interlocking relationship with another initial, Ha found prefixed to another surah in the Arabic text of 5 surahs is a multiple of 19 => 1767 (19x93) as shown in the table below, which is a lower level factual that the Quran is from God:Note: The count obtained from https://submission.org, while the occurrence of these four Arabic letters is maintained at frequency of 93 in the Arabic text of five surahs, which is a divine guard to exist the pure Quran against an attempt of any distortion as guidance to be the straight path for the believers until the end of the world.
When a new reminder comes most people have been disbelievers in it
- That you (prophet) would be one to kill yourself that they do not be believers (26:3). If we will, we can send down a sign to them from the sky that their necks would bend to it in humility (26:4). And there is no reminder comes to them from the Gracious is new, except they have been averse from it (26:5). So certainly, they have denied, then it will come to them a news (consequence) of what they have done to mock with it (26:6). And do they not see to the earth how many of every beautiful kind we have produced in it (26:7)? Indeed, in that there is surely a sign for them, but most of them has not been believers (26:8). And indeed, your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful (26:9).
Note: Reflecting to an oath of God referring to a set of Quranic initials which are a sign of the clarifying scripture, people from the present as well as subsequent generations should believe in what has been sent down to prophet Muhammad, while he had no role to make the people believers, even if he had killed himself for disbelieving of the people would not increase the believers. It is thus that people have made a business to disbelieve when a new reminder comes to them, but if God had willed, He would have sent down a sign from the sky to make them believers forcibly, instead He has given many beautiful kinds producing in the earth as sign that they can be believers, while most of them are disbelievers and had mocked with a reminder.
History of Moses with Pharaoh and his people
- When your Lord had called Moses that you shall go to the people of the wrongdoers (26:10). A people of Pharaoh will not they fear? (26:11). He said, “My Lord, indeed, I fear that they will deny me (26:12). My breast straitens and my tongue cannot express well; so send for Aaron (26:13). And there is a crime for them against me; I fear that they will kill me.” (26:14). He said, “Nay, so you both shall go with My signs; indeed, we are with you, listening (26:15). So go both of you to Pharaoh and say, “Indeed, we are messengers of Lord of the worlds (26:16). That send Children of Israel with us.” (26:17). He said, “Do we not raise you as a child among us, and you have remained among us for years of your life? (26:18). And you have done your deed that which you have done, and you are of the ungrateful ones.” (26:19). He said, “I have done it when I was of the strayers (26:20). So I had fled when I have been feared from you. Then my Lord has granted judgment for me and has made me one of the sent ones (26:21). And that is a favor you reproach it on me that you have enslaved Children of Israel!” (26:22). Pharaoh said, “And what is Lord of the worlds?” (26:23). He said, “Lord of the heavens and the earth, and what is between them. if you have been ascertained ones.” (26:24). He said to whoever around him, “Do you not hear?” (26:25). He said, “Your Lord and Lord of your forefathers.” (26:26). He said, “Indeed, your messenger who has been sent to you is surely mad.” (26:27). He said, “Lord of the east and the west, and what is between them, if you have been to understand.” (26:28). He said, “If you surely have taken a god other than me, surely, I will make you among the imprisoned.” (26:29). He said, “And even if can I bring to you of a thing of evident?” (26:30). He said, “Then you shall bring of it, if you have been the truthful.” (26:31). Then he had thrown his staff, then when it was a clear snake (26:32). And he has drawn into his hand, then when it was white to the beholders (26:33). He said to the elders around him, “Indeed, this is surely an expert magician (26:34). He wants that he will drive you out from your land by his magic. Then what do you advise?” (26:35). They said, “Postpone him and his brother, and send in the cities of gatherers (26:36). They will bring to you every expert magician.” (26:37).
- So there has been assembled of the magicians on a determined day for an appointment (26:38). And it has been said to the people, “Will you be gatherers (26:39). That we may follow the magicians, if they have been the winners.” (26:40). Then when the magicians had come, they said to Pharaoh, “Is there surely a reward for us if we have been the winners?” (26:41). He said, “Yes, and indeed you, then surely will be of those who are brought near.” (26:42). Moses said, “Throw what you are going to throw (26:43). So they had thrown their ropes and staffs, and said, “By majesty of Pharaoh, indeed, we will surely be the winners.” (26:44). Then Moses had thrown his staff, so when it swallows what they falsify (26:45). Then the magicians had fallen down being prostrators (26:46). They said, “We believed in Lord of the worlds (26:47), Lord of Moses and Aaron.” (26:48). He said, “Have you believed in him before that I give you permission? Indeed, he is surely your chief, who has taught you the magic. So surely you will know. Surely, I will cut your hands and your feet on alternate sides, and surely, I will crucify you all.” (26:49). They said, “There is no harm. Indeed, we are returning to our Lord (26:50). Indeed, we hope that our Lord will forgive our sins for us, that we have been the first believers.” (26:51). And we had inspired to Moses that you shall travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be followed.” (26:52). Then Pharaoh sent gatherers in the cities (26:53), “Indeed, these are surely a small band (26:54). And indeed, they are surely enraging for us (26:55). And indeed, we are surely a multitude forewarned.” (26:56).
- So, we have deprived them from gardens and springs (26:57). And treasures and an honorable position (26:58). Thus that, and we have made to inherit them Children of Israel (26:59). So they had followed them at sunrise (26:60). Then when the two parties see each other, Moses’ companions said, “Indeed, we are surely being overtaken.” (26:61). He said, “Nay, indeed, my Lord is with me; He will guide me.” (26:62). Then we had inspired to Moses that you shall strike the sea with your staff, so it had parted that each part had become like the great mountain (26:63). And we had brought near there the others (26:64). And we had saved Moses and all whoever were with him (26:65). Then we had drowned the others (26:66). Indeed, in that surely, there is a sign, but has not been believers most of them (26:67). And indeed, your Lord is the Almighty, the Merciful (26:68).
Note: Here comes a detailed story of Moses and Pharaoh and his arrogant people as a sign for the contemporary people and the people of the subsequent generations to believe in God not being arrogant like Pharaoh and his people. Pharaoh had disbelieved in God and oppressed on the people of Israel. Pharaoh and his soldiers were drowned in the sea while God had saved Moses and the people of Israel to cross the sea having victory against Pharaoh’s magicians, and his magicians had submitted to God despite severe warning of Pharaoh. Thus, Pharaoh and his people were deprived of treasures and power in the world while there is a severe punishment for them in the Hereafter.
History of Abraham with his father and his people
- You shall recite to them a news of Abraham (26:69). He said to his father and his people, “What do you worship?” (26:70 They said, “We worship statues that we remain devoted to them.” (26:71). He said, “Do they hear you when you call? (26:72). Or do they benefit or harm you?” (26:73). They said, “Nay; but we have found our forefathers to do like that.” (26:74). He said, “Do you then see what you have done to worship (26:75), you and your forefathers? (26:76). So they are enemies to me except Lord of the worlds (26:77). The One who has created me that He guides me (26:78). And the One who – He gives me food and gives me drink (26:79). And when I have been ill, He cures me (26:80). And the One who will cause me death, then He will give me life (26:81). And the One whom I hope will forgive for me my sins on a Day of the Judgment (26:82). My Lord, grant wisdom for me, and include me with the righteous (26:83). And make for me an example of honor among the later generations (26:84). And make me one of the inheritors of the blissful Paradise (26:85). And forgive for my father; indeed, he has been with the strayers (26:86). And do not forsake me on a day they are resurrected.” (26:87).
Note: Here comes a story of Abraham and his people who were idol worshipers as a sign for the contemporary people and the people of subsequent generations to be worshipers of one God avoiding idol worship. Abraham had established worship of one God applying logic that God is only One, who is worthy of our worship and he had been enemies of the idol worshipers including his father. He asked God for his forgiveness as well as for his father, even his father has been with the strayers. He also prayed to Him to set an example in the later generations and make him an inheritor of the Paradise.
Recompense for the righteous and the deviators on a day of Resurrection
- A day neither son nor wealth can benefit (26:88), except whoever has come to God with a good heart (26:89). And the Paradise has been brought for the righteous (26:90). And the Hellfire has been made for the deviators (26:91). And it has been said to them, “Where is what you have done to worship (26:92), other than God? Can they help you or help themselves?” (26:93). Then they have been overturned in it, they and the deviators (26:94). And Satan’s soldiers all together (26:95). They have said while they dispute in it (26:96). By God, indeed, we have been surely in far astray (26:97). And we equal you with Lord of the worlds? (26:98). And has not misguided us except the criminals (26:99). So there is no intercessors for us (26:100). Nor a close friend (26:101). So if that there was a return for us, then we would be believers.” (26:102). Indeed, in that surely, there is a sign, but has not been believers most of them (26:103). Indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Almighty, the Merciful (26:104).
Note: On a day of the Resurrection, Paradise will be given to the righteous, and Hellfire will be given to the deviators along with the Satan and its soldiers while the deviators will realize their mistakes not to be believers listening to the criminals and will not find any intercessors nor a close friend to help them, is also a sign for us that we can avoid criminals around us and the Hellfire on a day of the Resurrection.
History of Noah and his people
- A people of Noah had denied the sent ones (26:105). When their brother, Noah said to them, “Will you not fear (God)? (26:106). Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you (26:107). So you shall fear God and shall obey me (26:108). And I do not ask you any reward for it, my reward is not except from Lord of the worlds (26:109). So you shall fear God and shall obey me.” (26:110). They said, “Should we believe in you, while has followed you of the lowliest ones?” (26:111). He said, “I have no knowledge of what they have done to accomplish (26:112). Their reckoning is not except upon my Lord, if you could perceive (26:113). And I am not an expeller of the believers (26:114). I am not but a clarifying warner.” (26:115). They said, “Surely, if you do not refrain, O Noah; surely, you will be of those who to be stoned ones.” (26:116). He said, “My Lord; indeed, my people have denied me (26:117). So make a judgment between me and between them, and save me and whoever with me of the believers.” (26:118); So we had saved him and whoever with him of the laden in the ship (26:119). Then we had drowned after the remaining ones (26:120). Indeed, in that surely, there is a sign, but has not been believers most of them (26:121). And indeed, your Lord surely, He is the Almighty, the Merciful (26:122).
Note: Here comes a story of Noah and his people as a sign for the contemporary people and the people of the subsequent generations to be believers in God and what has been revealed from Him. The people of Noah had denied the sent ones, and when Noah had come to them and advised them to fear God and obey him, then they said unless he stopped to do that he would be stoned. As a consequence, God had saved Noah and whoever with him in the ship but had drowned the remaining ones.
Hud was sent to Aad who had denied God’s message
- Aad had denied the sent ones (26:123). When said to them their brother Hud, “Will you not fear (God)? (26:124). Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you (26:125). So you shall fear God, and shall obey me (26:126). And I do not ask you any compensation for it; my compensation is not except from Lord of the worlds (26:127). Do you build (mansion) on every hill to amuse (26:128), and you take as strongholds that you live forever? (26:129). And when you have seized, have seized as tyrants (26:130). So you shall fear God and shall obey me (26:131). And you shall fear the One who has supported you with what you know (26:132). He has provided you with livestock and children (26:133). And gardens and springs (26:134). Indeed, I fear for you a punishment of a great day.” (26:135).
- They said, “It is same for us whether you have advised, or would you not be of the advisors? (26:136). This is not but a custom of the ancient (26:137). And we are not the people to be punished.” (26:138).
- So they had denied him, then we destroyed them. Indeed, in that there is surely a sign, but has not been believers most of them (26:139). Indeed, your Lord surely, He is the Almighty, the Merciful (26:140).
Note: Hud was sent to Aad and he said to them that he has been trustworthy messenger from Lord of the worlds, and they shall fear God and shall obey him, and shall fear the One who supports them with what they need in the life of the world, but they had denied him. Thus, God had destroyed them, which is a lesson for the people of the generation when the Quran was revealed as well as the people of the generations to come.
Saleh was sent to Thamud who had disbelieved in God’s message
- Thamud had denied the sent ones (26:141). When said to them their brother Saleh, “Will you not fear (God)? (26:142). Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you (26:143). So you shall fear God and shall obey me (26:144). And I do not ask you any compensation for it; my compensation is not except from Lord of the worlds (26:145). Will you be left secure in what is here (26:146), in gardens and springs (26:147), and crops and date palms with soft spadix? (26:148). And you carve of the mountains for luxurious houses (26:149). So you shall fear God and shall obey me (26:150). And you do not obey an order of the transgressors (26:151), those who spread corruption in the earth, and do not reform.” (26:152).
- They said, “Indeed, you are one of the bewitched (26:153). You are not but a human being like us. So you shall bring of a sign, if you are of the truthful ones.” (26:154). He said, “This is a she-camel, for her there is a drink, while for you there is a drink on a known day (26:155). And you do not touch her with harm that seizes you a punishment on great day.” (26:156). Then they had slaughtered her, when they became regretful (26:157).
- So, the punishment had seized them. Indeed, in that there is surely a sign, while has not been believers most of them (26:158). Indeed, your Lord, surely, He is the Almighty, the Merciful (26:159).
Note: Saleh was sent to Thamud and he said to them that he has been trustworthy messenger from Lord of the worlds, and they shall fear God and shall obey him, and shall fear the One who supports them with what they need in the life of the world, but they had denied him and slaughtered she-camel given him as sign. Thus, God had destroyed them, which is a lesson for the people of the generation when the Quran was revealed as well as the people of the generations to come.
Lot was sent to the people who had disbelieved in God’s message
- A people of Lot had denied the sent ones (26:160). When said to them their brother Lot, “Will you not fear (God)? (26:161). Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you (26:162). So you shall fear God, and shall obey me (26:163). And I do not ask you any compensation for it; my compensation is not except from Lord of the worlds (26:164). Do you approach the males from the people of the world? (26:165). And you leave what your Lord has created for you of your mates? Nay, you are a people of transgressing.” (26:166).
- They said, “Surely, if you do not refrain, O Lot, you will be of those who are driven out.” (26:167). He said, “Indeed, I am to your deed among the abhorrent.” (26:168). My Lord, save me and my family from what they do.” (26:169).
- So we had saved him and all of his family (26:170). Except an old woman among those who had been behind (26:171). Then we had destroyed the others (26:172). And we had rained upon them a rain, so had been evil a rain on those who were warned (26:173). Indeed, in that surely there is a sign, while has not been believers most of them (26:174). Indeed, your Lord surely, He is the Almighty, the Merciful (26:175).
Note: Lot was sent to his people who had committed horrendous crime approaching the males instead of their mates and he said to them that he has been trustworthy messenger from Lord of the worlds, and they shall fear God and shall obey him, and shall fear the One who supports them with what they need in the life of the world, but they had denied him. Thus, God had destroyed them, which is a lesson for the people of the generation when the Quran was revealed as well as the people of the generations to come.
Shuaib was sent to the people of Wood who had disbelieved in God’s message
- The dwellers of Wood had denied the sent ones (26:176). When Shu`aib said to them, “Will you not fear (God)? (26:177). Indeed, I am a trustworthy messenger to you (26:178). So you shall fear God, and shall obey me (26:179). And I do not ask you any compensation for it, my compensation is not except from Lord of the worlds (26:180). You shall give full measure and you do not be he cheaters (26:181). You shall weigh with the even balance (26:182). And you do not deprive the people of their things, and you do not commit evil spreading corruption in the earth (26:183). You shall fear the One who has created you and the previous generations.” (26:184).
- They said, “Indeed, you are one of the bewitched (26:185). And you are not except a human being like us; and indeed, we think you are surely one of the liars (26:186). So you shall cause to fall fragments on us from the sky, if you have been of the truthful ones.” (26:187). He said, “My Lord is Knower of what you do.” (26:188).
- As they had denied him, so the punishment seized them as a day of the shadow. Indeed, it has been a punishment of a great day (26:189). Indeed, in that surely, there is sign, while has not been believers most people (26:190). And indeed, your Lord surely, He is the Almighty, the Merciful (26:191).
Note: Shuaib was sent to the dwellers of the Wood, who had cheated the people not giving full measure and he said to them that he has been trustworthy messenger from Lord of the worlds, and they shall fear God and shall obey him, and shall fear the One who supports them with what they need in the life of the world, but they had denied him. Thus, God had destroyed them, which is a lesson for the people of the generation when the Quran was revealed as well as the people of the generations to come.
Quran is a revelation from God Not the words of Satan and his allies
- And indeed, it is surely, a revelation from Lord of the worlds (26:192). The trustworthy Spirit (Gabriel) has descended with it (26:193), into your heart that you would be one of the warners (26:194), in a clear Arabic language (26:195). And indeed, it is surely in Psalms of the previous people (26:196). And would there not be a sign for them that, knows it of scholars in the Children of Israel? (26:197). If we had sent down it to any of the non-Arabs (26:198), then he had recited it, they would not have been believers in it (26:199). Thus that we have made it into hearts of the criminals (26:200), they would not believe in it until they see the painful punishment (26:201). So, it will come to them all of a sudden, when they do not perceive (26:202). Then they would say, “Can we be respited?” (26:203). So is it for our punishment, they wish to hasten? (26:204). Have you then seen, if we had let them to enjoy for years (26:205). Then it had come to them what they have been promised (26:206). There has not been any benefit from them what they had been to be enjoyed (26:207). And we had not destroyed any town except warners to it (26:208). A reminder and we have not been unjust (26:209). And there has not descended the devils with it (26:210). Nor does it befit for them, nor have they been able (26:211). Indeed, they are surely prevented from the hearing (26:212).
Note: God has confirmed that He is an author of the Quran, which has been revealed to Muhammad to recite to the people being brought it down by the trustworthy Gabriel. He has favored the Arabs in revealing it in Arabic, but most of them were not believers behaving like those who would ask for a respite if the painful punishment had come to them all of a sudden, and would not benefit what has been given them to enjoy, while it is a sign for those who have been given the scripture to be believers in it as it has been mentioned in their scripture; and God has never been unjust as He had not destroyed any nation in the past without sending warners with a reminder, while He has reminded that the Quran is not the words of the Satan and its allies that people will disbelieve in it, while the Satan and its allies have been prevented from hearing it.
God has warned Muhammad not to call other god with Him
- So, not to call another god with God, lest you (Muhammad) would be with the punished (26:213). And you shall warn your kindred of the closest (26:214). And you shall lower your wing for whoever has followed you of the believers (26:215). So if they have disobeyed you, then say, “Indeed, I am innocent of what you do.” (26:216). And you shall put trust on the Almighty, the Merciful (26:217). The One who sees you when you stand (for the salat prayer) (26:218). And your movements among the prostrators (26:219). Indeed, He who is the Hearer, the Knower (26:220).
Note: God has warned His prophet not to call other god with Him to be punished with the idol worshipers but to put his trust upon Him as He sees him when he meditates and what he does with the prostrators, and has also commanded him to warn his close relatives about not to call other god with God and to extend his support for whoever has followed him of the believers, while he is innocent of it for those who have disobeyed him.
The devils descend on the liars and the deviators
- Do I inform you upon whom descends the devils? (26:221). Descends upon every sinful liar (26:222). They pass on the hearsay, while most of them are liars (26:223). And the poets – follows them the deviators (26:224). Do you not see that they roam to every valley (26:225), and that they say what they do not do? (26:226).
Note: God has let us know upon whom the devils descend – the liars who pass on the hearsay and the deviators who follow the poets. They roam to every valley and what they say they do not do.
God forgives the wrongdoers who have believed and have done righteous deeds
- Except those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds, and have remembered God more frequent and have defended after of what they had been wronged. And will know those who have wronged to what is a return they will return (26:227).
Note: God forgives those who have done wrong, but have believed and have done the righteous deeds thereafter, while those who have done wrong and have continued their wrongdoing will return to a place of return.
Surah al-shu`araa (Surah 26: The Poets) – Part I can be reviewed its 122 verses reflecting that God has given signs in the Quran including His oath, while people have made a business to disbelieve when a new reminder comes to them, in the earth through producing beautiful kinds, history of the people of the past generations and their consequences, while God had saved the righteous and punished the wicked people – Moses had faced Pharaoh, a great tyrant of the world, Abraham had established worship of One God applying logic against the idol worshipers including his father, and Noah had faced the people who denied the sent ones and warned Noah to stone him if he had not stopped to say them that they should fear God, and the recompense of the righteous is the Paradise, and that of the deviators is the Hellfire on a day of the Resurrection. Thus, signs given by God are opportunity for us that we all can make the Paradise, if we can reflect.
Surah Al-Shu`araa (Surah 26: The Poets) Part II can be reviewed its 105 verses reflecting to: God has destroyed many communities in the past when they had denied His messengers who asked them to fear the One who provides them with what they need in the life of the world, which has been mentioned as a sign for the people of the generation when the Quran has been revealed and for the people of the generations to come to be believers of the Quran; He has not destroyed any community except sending warners to them with a reminder; He has revealed the Quran to Muhammad to recite it to the people being brought it down by the trustworthy Gabriel; Quran is God’s words not the words of the Satan and its allies that the people will be disbelievers in it; He has warned His prophet not to call other god with Him and to trust upon Him, and has also commanded him to warn about it of his close relatives; the devils descend on the liars who pass on the hearsay and the deviators who follow the poets – the Arabs being skilled in making stories and expressing feelings and ideas using distinctive style and rhythm; He forgives those who have done wrong, but have believed and have done the righteous deeds thereafter, while those who have done wrong but have not amended themselves will return to a place of return, which is the Hellfire.
God is merciful upon His servants and has given a sign to learn from the destruction of each of the past communities to be believers in Him and His message, and to amend themselves doing the righteous deeds being believers in Him, even when they have done wrong to themselves. It has been a favor for the Arabs from Him to reveal the Quran in Arabic that they should follow it being believers of it, while He has warned them against the hearsay to pass it on or to believe in it, and also deviation for following the saying of the poets falling into a serious consequence being liars and deviators driven by the devils, while what we see that many of those who claim them believers make them liars and deviators following the hearsay and fancy words invented down the generations assigning them to the prophet instead of following divine message given as a reminder and guidance, which is a mercy and healing for those who believe. But what the devils have done is make it worse that a group of people takes the religion in their hands to mislead themselves as well as others deviating from a God given guidance claiming them religious scholars being knowledgeable of these hearsay and the fancy words without realizing that what they are doing and what will be the consequences when they will meet God.
Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless.
Tafazzal (01/07/2022).
