Oath of God
- By the afternoon (103:1).
Note: This is an oath of God referring to the afternoon.
The believers never fail to do the righteous deeds
- Indeed, the human being is surely in loss (103:2). Except those who have believed and have done the righteous deeds, and have enjoined one another with the truth, and have enjoined one another with the patience (103:3).
Note: By taking oath God has affirmed that the true believers have never failed to do the righteous deeds and to enjoin each other with the truth and the patience at all circumstances.
Surah al-`Asr (The Afternoon) is a short surah consisting of 3 verses, in which God has confirmed that the true believers do the righteous deeds at all circumstances.
