Verses in Quran to know our right religion and its practices

Details of certain verses from the Quran to help us understand our right religion and its practices being the Quran a guidance, statute book, witness, warner, good news, a messenger of God, the final edition of God’s scripture, a caller to God and an illuminating lamp avoiding mistranslation or misinterpretation that we come across:

  • God has given us Quran as a guidance and statute book, is a detailed scripture of the best statement being consistent to each other:

[2:185] Ramadan which is a month, has been revealed in it the Quran as a guidance for mankind, clear proofs of the guidance and the statute book; so, whoever among you has witnessed the month, then he should fast in it, and whoever has been ill or on a journey then the prescribed number from other days, God wishes ease for you and He does not wish hardship for you, and that you may complete the prescribed number; and that you may glorify God through which He has guided you, and that you may appreciate.

[6:114] Is there then other than God should I seek as judge, while He is the One who has sent down to you the scripture is a detailed one? And those whom we have given them the scripture know that it is a sent down from your Lord with the truth. So, do not be with the doubtful ones.

[39:23] God has revealed a scripture of the best statement being consistent to each other. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it (Quran), then their skins and their hearts soften up to God’s message. That is God’s guidance; He guides with it (Quran) whomever He wills, and whomever God lets go astray, then there is no guide for him.

  • God has created mankind with a religion of Monotheism (haneefan) being Submission (Islam) is its practices first given to prophet Ibrahim who has been honored as a father of Islam:

[30:30] So, you shall establish yourself for the religion of monotheism, an instinct of God which He has created mankind on it. There is no change of God’s creation. That is the established religion, but most of the people do not know.

[3:19] Indeed, the religion with God is Submission; and has not differed those who have been given the scripture except after what has come to them the knowledge out of jealousy between them. And whoever disbelieves in God’s revelations, then indeed, God is swift in the reckoning.

[3:85] And whoever seeks other than Submission as religion, will not be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter, he will be with the losers.

[22:78] And you all shall strive in God of His true striving. He has chosen you and has made no difficulty upon you in the religion, a religion of your father Abraham. He (God) has named you submitters before and in this that the messenger would be a witness over you, and you would be witnesses over the people. So, you shall establish the salat prayer and shall give the zakat, and shall hold fast to God; He is your Protector, so has been the excellent Protector and has been the excellent Supporter.

  • God has commanded His prophet (Muhammad) to stop calling on the idols (Allat, Aluzzah and Manat) when the Quran had been revealed to him to be among the guided ones:

[6:56] Say, “Indeed me, I (Muhammad) have been forbidden that I worship those whom you call other than God.” Say, “I (Muhammad) do not follow your desires; certainly, I (Muhammad) would have gone astray then, and I (Muhammad) would not be with the guided ones.”

[6:106] You (Muhammad) shall follow what has been inspired to you (Muhammad) from your Lord: there is no god except He, and shall turn away from the idol worshipers.

[40:66] Say, “Indeed me (Muhammad), I (Muhammad) have been forbidden that I (Muhammad) worship those whom you call other than God, when has come to me (Muhammad) the clear proofs from my Lord, and I (Muhammad) have been commanded that I (Muhammad) submit to Lord of the worlds.”

  • God has confirmed that there is no god except He. So, the believing and women those who establish their prayer to worship God alone without associating partner(s) with Him will be successful in the Hereafter:

[3:18] God has borne witness that there is no god except He, and (so has done) the angels and possessors of the knowledge established with the justice: there is no god except He – the Almighty, the Wise.

[20:14] “Indeed Me, I am God; there is no god except I. So, you (Moses) shall worship Me, and shall establish the salat prayer for My remembrance.”

[47:19] So you (Muhammad) shall know that there is no god except God; and you (Muhammad) shall ask forgiveness for your (Muhammad) sin and for the believing men and the believing women while God knows all of your return and all of your reward.

[38:65] Say, “Indeed, I (Muhammad) am a warner; and there is no god except God – the One, the Supreme.

  • Muhammad was inspired to continue practices of Monotheism given to Abraham and asked him to invite to do that of those who had believed with him. Thus, he and those with him who had followed a religion of Ibrahim became submitters:

[16:123] Then we have inspired to you (Muhammad) that you shall follow a religion of Abraham – monotheism; he had not been with the idol worshipers.

[6:161] Say, “Indeed me (Muhammad), has guided me my Lord to a straight path – an established religion, a religion of Abraham – monotheism; and he had not been with the idol worshipers.”

[3:95] Say (Muhammad), “God has proclaimed truth, so you shall follow a religion of Abraham – monotheism; and he had not been with the idol worshipers.”

  • God has commanded Muhammad to establish 5 times salat prayer a day, which is the greatest for remembering Him:

[11:114] And you (prophet) shall establish the salat prayer at both ends of the day (the Noon prayer) and the first part of the night (the Sunset and Night prayer). Indeed, the good deeds remove the evil deeds. That is a reminder for those who would take heed.

[17:78] You (prophet) shall establish the salat prayer at declining of the sun towards darkness of the night (the Noon prayer) and Quran at the dawn. Indeed, Quran at the dawn has been a witnessed.

[20:130] So, you (prophet) shall be patient on what they say; and shall glorify with praise of your Lord before rising of the sun (the Dawn prayer) and before its setting (the Afternoon prayer), and from hours of the night (the Sunset and the Night prayer), then you shall glorify also at ends of the day (the Noon prayer), so that you may please (your Lord).

[29:45] You (prophet) shall recite what has been revealed to you of the scripture and shall establish the salat prayer. Indeed, the salat prayer forbids from the immorality and the evil, while surely, remembering God is the greatest. And God knows what you (all) do.

  • What God has revealed to Muhammad is a messenger of God and the final edition of scripture, a witness, a bearer of good news, a warner, a caller to God and an illuminating light:

[33:40] Muhammad has not been a father of anyone of your men, but has had a messenger of God and a seal of the prophets. And God has done as Knower of everything.

[33:45] O you prophet; indeed, we have sent you a witness, and a bearer of good news, and a warner,

[33:46] and a caller to God by His permission, and an illuminating light.

  • Hadiths and sunnahs are man-made innovations and God has commanded the believers to disregard the fabricators (hadith collectors) and what they have fabricated to avoid a humiliating punishment being the disbelievers in the Hereafter, and it is God’s system to support His messengers came down from the past:

[6:112] And thus that we have made an enemy for every prophet, the devils from the human and the jinn to inspire one of them to other the fancy word in deception. And if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it. So you shall disregard them and what they fabricate.

[6:113] And that inclines to it hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter, and that they please with it, and that they commit what they are committing.

[31:6] And from the people, whoever purchases the baseless Hadith to mislead from God’s path without knowledge and takes it as mockery; those – for them there is a humiliating punishment.

[45:6] That is of God’s revelations we recite them to you (Muhammad) with the truth. So, in which statement after God and His revelations do they believe?

[17:77] A system to whomever of our messengers certainly, we have sent before yourself (Muhammad), and you do not find any change in our system.

  • Even God has commanded the believers to be frequent in His masjids but not in the masjids, which are corrupted with idol worshiping or are established for having harm, disbelief and division among the believers:

[9:17] It has not been for the idol worshipers that they maintain God’s masjids, are witnesses against themselves of the disbelief. Those – has been worthless of their deeds, and in the Fire they will be dwellers.

[9:18] Only he maintains God’s masjids whoever has believed in God and the Last Day, and has established the salat prayer, and has given the zakat, and does not fear except God. Then it may have been those that they would be among the guided ones.

[9:107] And those who have taken masjid for having harm and disbelief, and division among the believers, and as a station for whoever has warred against God and His messenger before; while surely, they swear: “We have not intended except the good,” and God bears witness that indeed, they are surely liars.

[9:108] You do not pray ever in it. Surely, a masjid has been founded on the righteousness from first day is more worthy that you pray in it. In it, are people who love that they will purify, and God loves the purified ones.

  • God has made a covenant with the prophets that He will send a messenger after the delivery of all the scripture, which has been placed in every scripture including the Quran to bring people back to His revelations followed by fulfilling certain promise and prophecies:

[3:81] And when God has taken a covenant of the prophets: “Surely, whatever I have given you of scripture and wisdom, then has come to you a messenger confirming that which is with yourselves. You must believe in him and you must support him.” He said: “Have you affirmed and taken My covenant on that?” They said: “We have affirmed.” He said: “Then you shall bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses.”

[33:7] And when we have taken their covenant from the prophets, and from you (Muhammad), and from Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus, son of Mary. And we have taken a solemn covenant from them.

[44:13] How was the reminder for them, and certainly, there had come to them a clarifying messenger (with it).

[74:30] Over it is nineteen.

[15:9] Indeed, we have sent down the reminder (Quran), and indeed, we will certainly be protectors of it.

[27:82] And when the punishment has fulfilled upon them, we have brought forth for them a creature from the earth to speak to them that the people have been with our revelations do not ascertain.

  • The message given to the messenger of covenant has been spelled out in the Quran including message name, which is mathematical coding of Quran being a reminder for the human race, and a prophetic sign to support the messenger, which is number 19 being a code and common denominator:

[74:30] Over it is nineteen.

[74:31] And we have not made guardians of the Fire except angels, and we have not made their number except a warning for those who disbelieved, that it may ascertain those who have been given the scripture (Jews and Christians) and may increase faith of those who have believed (Muslims), and may not doubt those who have been given the scripture (Jews and Christians) and the believers (Muslims). And that may say those in their hearts there is a disease (hypocrites) and the disbelievers, “What has God meant by this allegory?” Thus that God misguides whomever He wills and He guides whomever He wills. And none knows your Lord’s soldiers except He. And it is not except a reminder for the human race.

[74:32-34] Nay, (I swear) by the moon. And the night when it has departed. And the morning when it has brightened.

[74:35] Indeed, it is surely one of the great (reminders).

[74:36-37] A warning for the human race. For whoever has willed among you to advance or to stay behind.

  • God, the Gracious is Teacher of the Quran and Creator of the human being, and He teaches him intelligence so that he may learn the Quran to go to the straight path avoiding misguidance:

[55:1] The Gracious.

[55:2] He has taught the Quran.

[55:3] He has created the human being.

[55:4] He has taught him the intelligence.

Upon putting our trust on God to be our Teacher and Creator we may uphold the Quran being the only source of knowledge as our guidance as well as reflecting to the appropriate messages avoiding mistranslation or misinterpretation to confirm that our right religion is Monotheism and Islam is its practices, a complete set of practices has been first given to Abraham being a father of Muslims to see our success in the Hereafter.
Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless.
