However, God has sent down the Quran with the truth, which has given us the truth about who has been Muhammad that we should not have any doubt about it:
Who has been Muhammad as a person
By taking oath referring to the Quranic initial, “Noon, and the pen what they write ” God has affirmed that Muhammad whom He has chosen as a prophet bears a good moral character being qualified for delivering His message being the best person among the gentiles, wherein there is a hint why He has chosen him a prophet, even He found him astray, and if he can maintain his honesty and blessing bestowed on him God will give him an unlimited reward:
[68:1] (By) NuN, and the pen and what they write.
[68:2] You (Muhammad) are not of a madman by grace of your Lord.
[68:3] And indeed, for you (Muhammad) there is surely a reward without limit.
[68:4] And indeed, you (Muhammad) are surely of a good moral character.
Who has been Muhammad before choosing him a prophet
God has found Muhammad orphan but He had given him a home. He has found him astray but He had guided him, while He has found him poor but He had made him rich, which are truth about Muhammad but many of us cannot bring them into account, even God has not hidden anything from the believers to let them know the person who he was before choosing him a prophet to recite His revelations to the people that the believers can focus on the message given to him not on him:
[93:6] Did He not find you (Muhammad) an orphan, then He has given you home?
[93:7] And He has found you (Muhammad) astray, then He has guided.
[93:8] And He has found you (Muhammad) poor, then He has made rich.
Who has been Muhammad after choosing him a prophet.
- He has been blessed with plenty that he shall remember His Lord and shall sacrifice his life to be grateful to Him for whatever He has given him, while whoever is his enemy will be loser:
[108:1] Indeed, we have given you (Muhammad) the abundance.
[108:2] So, you shall pray to your Lord and shall sacrifice (yourself).
[108:3] Indeed, your enemy – he will be the loser.
- By taking oath referring to the shooting star God has affirmed the prophet’s contemporaries even the people of subsequent generations that Muhammad has not been in astray anymore when he has been chosen as a prophet and what he is reciting to them is not from his own desire so that they can believe in him and in what is being recited to them:
[53:1] By the star when it has gone down.
[53:2] Your friend (Muhammad) has not gone astray, nor has he erred.
[53:3] Nor does he speak from the desire.
- Prophet had no knoledge of the scripture and the faith. What was given to him is a light that he will guide to a straight path, a path of God, while God guides with it whoever He wills:
[42:52] And thus that we have inspired to you (Muhammad) an inspiration by our command. You had not done it to know what the scripture was, nor the faith was. But we have made it (Quran) a light; we guide with it whomever we will of our servants. And indeed, you surely guide to a straight path.
[42:53] A path of God, the One to Him belong whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. No doubt, to God reach all matters.
Note: Muhammad had no knowledge of the scripture and the faith, which were inspired to him by God’s command, and he was on a straight path as long as he held the light given to him.
- The people of the scripture and those who follow the messenger, the gentile prophet who believes in God and His words and the light what has come down to him will guide themselves to be successful:
[7:157] Those who follow the messenger, the gentile prophet (Muhammad) whom they (Jews and Christians) find written with them in the Torah and the Gospel. He (the gentile prophet) commands them to the right and forbids them from the evil; and he makes lawful for them the good things and makes unlawful upon them the bad things; and he relieves from them their burdens and the shackles, which have been upon them. So, those who have believed in him, and have honored him, and have helped him, and have followed the light with him, which has been sent down. Those – they are the successful ones.
- What Muhammad has recited to the people about himself when God has chosen him a prophet that he was a human being like ourselves but a clear warner while he obeyed God, he turned to be a Muslim and followed the religion of Islam being practices of Monotheism and worshiped God being sincere to Him in the religion, he followed what has been revealed to him while he did not know the future, nor did he bring down any miracle for the people. There was no treasures with him, nor had he been different from other messengers. If God had not strengthened him, he would have done to lean towards the idol worshipers, and he was warned that he would defraud:
[6:50] Say (prophet), “I do not say to you there are God’s treasures with me nor do I know the unseen nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I do not follow except what is revealed to me.” Say (prophet), “Do the blind and the seer be equal? Then do you not think?”
[6:56] Say (prophet), “Indeed me, I have been forbidden that I worship those whom you call other than God.” Say (prophet), “I do not follow your desires; certainly, I would have gone astray then, and I would not be with the guided ones.”
[7:188] Say (prophet), “I possess neither benefit nor harm for myself except what God wills. And if I had known the unseen, I would surely have increased of the good and the evil could not have touched me. I am not except a warner and a bearer of good news for a people who believe.”
[18:110] Say (prophet), “I am only a human being like yourselves, it is inspired to me that your god is One god. So whoever has been hoping of meeting his Lord, then he should do deed as righteous and he does not associate anyone in worship of his Lord.”
[29:50] And they said, “Why has not been sent down miracles to him from his Lord!” Say (prophet), “Indeed, the miracles are with God, and I am only a clarifying warner.”
[40:66] Say (prophet), “Indeed me, I have been forbidden to worship those whom you call other than God when there had come to me the clear proofs from my Lord, and I have been commanded to submit to Lord of the worlds.”
[41:6] Say (prophet), “I am only a human being like yourselves; it is inspired to me that your god is One god. So you shall be straight to Him and shall ask His forgiveness.” And woe to the idolaters.
[46:9] Say (prophet), “I have not been an exception from the (other) messengers, and I do not know what will be done with me and with you. I do not follow except what is revealed to me and I am not but a warner, a clarifier.”
[3:95] Say, “God has proclaimed truth that you (prophet) shall follow a religion of Abraham, Monotheism; and he had not been with the idol worshipers.”
[6:161] Say, “Indeed me (prophet), my Lord has guided me to a straight path – an established religion, a religion of Abraham, Monotheism; and he had not been with the idol worshipers.”
[16:123] Then we inspired to you (prophet) that you shall follow a religion of Abraham, Monotheism; he had not been with the idol worshipers.
[39:11] Say (prophet), “Indeed me, I have been commanded that I worship God being sincere to Him in the religion,
[39:12] and I have been commanded that I would be first among the Submitters.”
[39:13] Say (prophet), “Indeed me, I fear, if I disobeyed my Lord, the retribution of a great day.”
[39:14] Say (prophet), “I worship God being sincere to Him in my religion.”
[69:44] And if he (prophet) had fabricated any of the saying about us (God and His system);
[69:45] surely, we would have seized by the right hand from him;
[69:46] then surely, we would have cut off the aorta from him.
[69:47] Then no one from you would be a protector of him.
[17:73] And indeed, they had almost done to tempt you (prophet) from that which we have revealed to you that you fabricate about us other than it (Quran), and then surely, they would have taken you as a friend.
[17:74] And if not that we had strengthened you (prophet), that certainly, you would have done to lean towards them a little in something.
[17:75] Then surely, we would have made you (prophet) taste (retribution) double in the life and double in the death. Then you cannot not find for you any helper against us.
[3:161] And it has not been for a prophet that he would defraud. And whoever defrauds will bring with what he had defrauded on a day of the Resurrection. Then every soul is repaid for whatever it has earned, and they will not be wronged.
Review indicates that God found Muhammad astray before choosing him a prophet, then He guided him, even the observant Muslims argue about it not knowing what is in the Quran, while we know from the Quran that God has chosen him a prophet based on his good moral character, which had been a great blessing upon him, even he had no knowledge of the prior scripture nor the religion. The Quran does not leave any room for the true Muslims to idolize Muhammad but what we see around us that he is being idolized in practices and prayers of many people who claim them Muslims, even corrupting their faiths and practices without realizing what they are doing. The ignorant scholars being allies of the Satan preach Islam focusing on his sayings and deeds turning it to personality cult making their slogan, “Nabijee” as well as assigning him the status of the greatest prophet to deceive the people hiding the truth from the Quran, while there are other people being amateur, who have no knowledge of Islam, nor the teachings of the Quran are making posts in the electronic media focusing on his clothes, hairs, teeth, utensils, households, food etc. or the miracle he made turning it to paganism.
However, God knowing all our situation in what we may fall in has warned us about the idolizing of prophet/messenger to be a human tragedy accepting the teachings of the scholars turning away from His revelations to make them losers:
[3:79] It has not been for a human that God gives him the scripture and the wisdom and the prophethood, then he says to the people, “You shall be worshipers of me other than God, except you shall be worshipers of Lord of what you have been to teach the scripture and of what you have been to study (it).” .
[3:80] Nor would he order you to take the angels and the prophets as lords. Would he order you in the disbelief after when you have been submitters?
[9:31] They have taken their Rabbis and Priests as their lords other than God, and the Messiah, son of Mary, while they had been commanded to worship One god: there is no god except He. Glory is His of what they associate (with Him).
[18:57] And who is more evil than whoever has been reminded with his Lord’s revelations then he has turned away from them and has forgot what has sent forth his hands? Indeed, we have placed veils on their hearts lest they understand it, and deafness in their ears, and if you invite them to the guidance, then they will never ever be guided.
God being Cognizant and Knower of all our circumstances has given us both explicit and implicit ways in the Quran to confirm that idolizing not only Muhammad but also any other prophet or messenger or scholars is not His system to worship Him alone except being it idol worshiping to nullify our all works, while idol worship is an unforgiveable sin (4:48, 4:116). Since there is no compulsion in the religion (2:256), we may stay with the majority listening to our scholars or we may stay with God following His revelations to see our success in the Hereafter.
Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless.
