Details of the verses of the Quran having instances of nabiy

An Arabic word “nabiy” (نَّبِىّ) meaning “prophet” occurs 75 times including its plural forms, “anbiyaa-a” and “nabiyyeen” in the Quran found in 72 verses across 20 surahs, and the thorough review of these verses may give us a clear understanding of many significant events to avoid erroneous beliefs and unauthorized practices infiltrated stealthily in our religion over the period of time:

[2:61] And when you said, “O Moses, we cannot endure on food of one kind, so call your Lord for us to produce for us from what the earth grows of its beans, and its cucumbers, and its garlic, and its lentils, and its onions.” He said, “Would you exchange that which is inferior to that which is better? Go down to Egypt, then indeed, there is for you what you have asked for.” And there had been struck on them the humiliation and the misery, and they had brought upon themselves wrath of God. That was of that they had done to disbelieve in God’s signs and kill the prophets without the justice (wa-yaq’tuluuna al-nabiyyeena bi-ghayri al-haqqi). That was of that they had disobeyed, and they had done to transgress.

[2:91] And when it has been said to them: “Believe in what God has sent down;” they said: “We believe in what has been sent down to us.” And they disbelieve in what was after of it, while it is the truth confirming that what is with them. Say: “Then why did you kill prophets of God (fa-lima taq’tuluuna anbiyaa-a allahi min qablu) if you had been believers?”

[2:136] Say, “We have believed in God, and what has been sent down to us, and what has been sent down to Abraham and Ismail and Isaac and Jacob and the Patriarchs; and what has been given to Moses and Jesus, what has been given to the prophets from their Lord (wa-maa uutiya al-nabiyyuuna min rabbihim). We do not make distinction between anyone of them. And we are Submitters to Him.”

[2:177] It has not been righteousness that you turn your faces towards the East and the West, but the righteousness is whoever has believed in God and the Last Day and the angels and the scripture and the prophets (wa-laa-kinna al-birra man aamana billahi wal-yawmi al-aakhiri wal-malaa-i-kati wal-kitaabi wal-nabiyyeena), and has given the wealth out of his love to those of the nearest relatives and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and the beggars and in freeing the slaves, and has established the salat prayer and has given the zakah; and those who fulfill of their promise when they have made, and are the patient in the distress and the hardship and at time of the stress. Those are those who are truthful ones and those – they are the righteous.

[2:213] The mankind had been one community as God has raised up the prophets as bearers of good news and warners (kaana al-naasu ummatan waahidatan fa-ba`atha allahu al-nabiyyeena mubashireena wa-mundhireena), and He has sent down with them the scripture with the truth that it may judge between the people in what they had differed in it. And they had not differed in it except those who had been given it after what had come to them the clear proofs out of jealously among them. Then God guided those who had believed that what they had differed in it of the truth by His permission. And God guides whoever He wills to a path of straight.

[2:246] Did you not see to the leaders of Children of Israel after Moses, when they said to a prophet to them (a-lam tara ilaa al-mala-i min banee is’raa-ee-la min ba’di muusaa idh qaaluu li-nabiyyin lahumu), “Appoint for us a king that we may fight in a way of God?” He said, “Would you might have been that if the fighting has been decreed upon you that you will not fight?” They said, “And what is for us that we do not fight in a way of God, while certainly, we have been driven out of our homes and our children?” Then when the fighting has been decreed upon them they had turned away except a few from them. And God is Knower of the wrongdoers.

[2:247] And their prophet said to them: “Indeed, God has certainly raised Talut (Saul) as a king for you.” (wa-qaala lahum nabiyyuhum inna allaha qad ba`atha lakum taaluuta malikan}.” They said: “How would be the kingship to him over us, while we are more worthy of kingship than him, even he is not given an abundance of the wealth?” He said: “God has chosen him over you and has increased him in abundance in the knowledge and the stature, and God gives His kingship whomever He wills, and God is Encompassing, Knower.”

[2:248] And their prophet said to them: “Indeed, a sign of his kingship is that the ark will come to you (wa-qaala lahum nabiyyuhum // inna aayata mulkihi an yatiyakumu al-taabuutu); in it there is a tranquility from your Lord and a legacy of what has left behind a family of Moses and a family of Aaron. The angels will carry it; indeed, in that there is, surely a sign for you if you have been believers.”

[3:21] Indeed, those who disbelieve in God’s revelations and kill the prophets without truth (inna alladheena yakfuruuna bi-aayaati allahi wa-yaq’tuluuna al-nabiyyeena bi-ghayri haqqin), and kill those who order with justice among the people, then give them a news of a painful punishment.

[3:39] Then the angels called him (Zakaria) while he was standing to pray in the temple: “Indeed, God gives you a good news of John confirming with a word of God, and an honorable and an honest and a prophet from the righteous.” (inna allaha yubashiruka bi-yahyaa musaddinqan bi-kalimatin mina allahi wa-sayyidan wa-hasuuran wa-nabiyyan mina al-saaliheena)

[3:68] Indeed, the people are nearer to Abraham are those who have followed him and this prophet (wa-haadhaa al-nabiyyu), and those who have believed. And God is Protector of the believers.

[3:80] Nor would he (prophet) order you to take the angels and the prophets as lords (wa-laa-yamurakum an tattakhidhuu al-malaaikata wal-nabiyyeena arbaaban). Would he order you to the disbelief after when you have been submitters?

[3:81] And when God had taken a covenant of the prophets, (wa-idh akhadha allahu meethaaqa al-nabiyyeena: “Surely, whatever I have given you from a (Mother) scripture and wisdom, then there has come to you a messenger confirming that which was with yourselves. You must believe in him and you must support him.” He said: “Have you affirmed and taken My covenant on that?” They said: “We have affirmed.” He said: “Then you shall bear witness, and I am with you among the witnesses.”

[3:84] Say: “We have believed in God and what has been sent down to us and what had been sent down to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Patriarchs, and what had been given to Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord (wa-maa uutiya muusaa wa-`eesaa wa-al-nabiyyuuna min rabbihim). We do not make distinction between anyone of them, and to Him we are submitters.”

[3:112] There has been struck the humiliation upon them wherever that they have been found except a rope from God and a rope from the people. And they have incurred with wrath from God and there has been struck the poverty upon them; that is of that they had done to disbelieve in God’s revelations and killed the prophets without truth (dhaalika bi-annahum kaanuu yakfuruuna bi-aayaati allahi wa-yaq’tuluuna al-anbiyaa-a bi-ghayri haqqin); that is of that they had disobeyed and they had done to transgress.

[3:146] And many of a prophet had fought accompanied many religious observant (wa-ka’ayyin min nabiyyin qaatala ma`ahu ribbiyyuuna katheerun) while they had not disheartened for what had befallen them in a way of God, nor had they weakened, nor had they discouraged; and God loves the patient.

[3:161] And it has not been for a prophet that he would defraud (wa-maa kana li-nabiyyin an yaghulla), and whoever defrauds will be brought with what he had defrauded on a day of the Resurrection, then every soul will be paid what it had earned and they will not be wronged.

[3:181] Certainly, God has heard saying of those who said: “Indeed, God is poor and we are rich!” We will record what they have said and their killing of the prophets without truth (sa-nak’tubu maa qaaluu wa-qatlahumu al-anbiyaa-a bi-ghayri haqqin); and We will say: “Taste the punishment of the Blazing Fire!”

[4:69] And whoever obeys God and the messenger, then those will be with those whom God has bestowed favor upon them of the prophets and the truthful and the martyrs and the righteous (fa-ulaaika ma`a alladheena an’`ama allahu `alayhim mina al-nabiyyeena wal-siddeeqeena wal-shuhadaa-i wal-saaliheena), and there has been excellent are those companion.

[4:155] Then of that their breaking of their covenant and their disbelief in God’s revelations and their killing of the prophets without truth (wa-kuf’rihim bi-aayaati allahi wa-qatlihimu al-anbiyaa-a bi-ghayri haqqin), and their saying: “Our hearts have wrappings;” yes, God has placed a seal upon them of their disbelief, so they cannot believe except a few.

[4:163] Indeed, we have inspired to you (Muhammad) like that we had inspired to Noah and the prophets after of him (innaa awhaynaa ilayka kamaa awhaynaa ilaa nuuhin wal-nabiyyeena min ba’dihi). And we had inspired to Abraham, and Ismail, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and Jesus, and Job, and Jonah, and Aaron, and Solomon. And we had given David Psalms.

[5:20] And when Moses said to his people: “O my people, remember favor of God upon you when He had made prophets from you, and had made you kings (yaa’qawmi udh’kuruu ni`mata allahi `alaykum idh ja`ala feekum anbiyaa-a wa-ja`alakum muluukan), and He had given you what He did not give to anyone of the people of the world.”

[5:44] Indeed, we have sent down the Torah; in it there was guidance and light, judged with it the prophets those who had submitted (to God) of those who had been Jews, and the rabbis and the scholars (yahkumu bihaa al-nabiyyuuna alladheena aslamuu lilladheena haaduu wal-rabaniyuuna wal-ahbaaru) with what they had been entrusted of God’s scripture, and they had been witnesses upon it. So you do not fear the people, while you shall fear Me, and you do not sell of My revelations for a small price. And whoever does not judge with what God has sent down, then those – they are the disbelievers.

[5:81] And if they had done to believe in God and the prophet (wa-lam kaanuu yu’minuuna bil-lahi wal-nabiyyi), and what has been sent down to him, they would not have taken them as allies; but many of them are disobedient.

[6:112] And thus that we have made enemy for every prophet devils from the human and the jinn to inspire of them to other the fancy word in deception (wa-ka’dhaalika ja`alnaa li-kulli nabiyyin `aduwwan shayaateena al-insi wal-jini yuuhee ba`duhum ilaa ba`din zukh’rufa al-qawli ghuruuran). And if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it. So you shall disregard them and what they fabricate.

[7:94] And we have not sent a prophet to any town (wa-maa arsalnaa fee qaryatan min nabiyyin), except we had seized its people with the adversity and the hardship so that they may become humble.

[7:157] Those who follow the gentile messenger prophet (alladheena yattabi`uuna al-rasuula al-nabiyya al-ummiya) whom (Muhammad) they find him written with them in the Torah and the Gospel; he enjoins them to the right, and prevents them from the evil, and he makes lawful for them the good things, and forbids the bad things for them, and he removes their burden on them and the shackles which have been upon them. So, those who have believed in him, and have honored him, and have supported him, and have followed the light (Quran) with him which has been sent down (wa-ittaba`uu al-nuura alladhee unzila ma`ahu); those – they are the successful ones.

[7:158] Say: “O people, I am a messenger of God to you all, Whom to Him is dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no god except He. He gives life and causes death.” So you shall believe in God and His messenger the prophet, the gentile (fa-aaminuu billahi wa-rasuulihi al-nabiyyi al-ummiyyi), who believes in God and His words, and you shall follow him so that you may be guided.

[8:64] O prophet, God has sufficient for you, and whoever has followed you of the believers (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu hasbuka allahu wa-mani ittaba`aka mina al-mu’mineena).

[8:65] O prophet, you shall urge the believers on the fighting (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu harridi al-mu’mineena `alaa al-qitaali). If there would be twenty steadfast among you, they will defeat two hundred, and if there would be one hundred among you, they will defeat one thousand of those who have disbelieved of that they are a people do not understand.

[8:67] It has not been for a prophet that there would be prisoners of war for him unless he battles in the field (Maa kaana li-nabiyyin an yakuuna lahu asraa hattaa yuth’khina fee al-ardi). You desire the materials of the world while God desires the Hereafter (for you). And God is Almighty, Wise.

[8:70] O prophet, say to whoever in your hands of the prisoners (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu qul liman fee aydeekum mina al-asraa): “If God knows any good in your hearts, He would give you better than what has been taken from you and He would forgive you. And God is Forgiving, Merciful.”

[9:61] And among them those who hurt the prophet while they say: “He is (all) ear!” (wa-minhumu alladheena yu’dhuuna al-nabiyya wa-yaquuluuna huwa udhunun) Say: “An ear is better for you. He believes in God and thinks for the believers, and he has mercy for those who believe among you.” And those who hurt a messenger of God for them there is a painful punishment.

[9:73] O prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern on them (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu jaahidi al-kufaara wal-munaafiqeena wa-ugh’luz `alayhim). Their abode is Hell and it has been wretched the destination.

[9:113] It has not been for the prophet and those who have believed that they ask forgiveness for the idol worshipers, even though they have been nearest relatives (maa kana li-nabiyyin wa-alladheena aamanuu an yas’taghfiruu lil’mush’rikeena wa-law kaanuu ulee qur’baa), after what has become clear to them that they are dwellers of the Hellfire.

[9:117] Certainly, God has turned (with mercy) to the prophet and the emigrants and the supporters who have followed him in the difficult time (laqad taaba allahu `alaa al-nabiyyi wal-muhaajireena wal-ansaari alladheena ittaba`uuhu fee saa’ati al-`usrati), even after the hearts of them that had almost been to deviate, then He turned (with mercy ) to them. Indeed, He is with them Kind, Merciful.

[17:55] And your Lord is Knower of whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And certainly, we have preferred of the prophets over other, and we had given David Psalms (wa-laqad fad’dalnaa ba`da al-nabiyyeena `alaa ba`din wa-aataynaa daawuuda zabuuran).

[19:30] He (Jesus) said: “Indeed, I am a servant of God. He has given me the scripture and has made me a prophet.” (aataayniya al-kitaaba wa-ja`alanee nabiyyan).

[19:41] And recall in the scripture Abraham. Indeed, he has been a truthful one, a prophet (wa-udhkur fee al-kitaabi Ib’raaheema innahu kaana siddeeqan nabiyyan).

[19:49] Then when he (Abraham) had left them and what they worshiped other than God, we had bestowed upon him Isaac and Jacob, and we had made each a prophet (wahabnaa lahu is’haaqa wa-ya`quuba wa-kullan ja`alnaa nabiyyan)

[19:51] And recall in the scripture Moses. Indeed, he had been chosen and he had been a messenger, a prophet. (innahu kaana mukh’lasan wa-kaana rasuulan nabiyyan)

[19:53] And we had bestowed to him (Moses) from our mercy, his brother Aaron as a prophet. (wa-wahabnaa lahu min rahmatinaa akhaahu haaruuna nabiyyin)

[19:54] And recall in the scripture Ismail. Indeed, he was truthful to the promise, and he was a messenger, a prophet. (innahu kaana saadiqa al-wa`di wa-kaana rasuulan nabiyyan)

[19:56] And recall in the scripture Idris. Indeed, he had been truthful, a prophet. (innahu kaana siddeeqan nabiyyan)

[19:58] Those are whom God had bestowed favor upon them of the prophets (ulaa-i-ka alladheena an”ama allahu `alayhim mina al-nabiyyeena) from descendants of Adam, and of whoever we had carried with Noah, and from descendants of Abraham and Israel, and of whoever we had guided and we had chosen. When was recited to them revelations of the Merciful, they had fallen prostrating and weeping.

[22:52] And we have not sent before yourself (Muhammad) any messenger nor a prophet except that when he had recited, the devil cast in his recitation (wa-maa arsalnaa min qablika min rasuulin wa-laa-nabiyyin illaa idhaa tamannaa al’qaa al-shaytaanu fee um’niyyatihi). Then God nullifies what the devil cast. Thus, God establishes His revelations, and God is Knower, Wise.

[25:31] And thus that we have made for every prophet enemy from the guilty. (wa-ka-dhaalika ja`al’naa likulli nabiyyin `aduwwan mina al-muj’rimeena) And it has sufficed with your Lord as a Guide and a Helper.

[33:1] O prophet, you shall fear God, and do not obey the disbelievers and the hypocrites (yaa-ayyuhaaa al-nabiyyu ittaqi allaha wa-laa-tuti’i al-kaafireena wal-munaafiqeena). Indeed, God is Knower, Wise.

[33:6] The prophet is closer to the believers than themselves, and his wives are their mothers (al-nabiyyu awlaa bil-mu’mineena min anfusihim wa-azwaajuhu ummahaatuhum). And possessors of the relationships of them are closer to another according to God’s decree than the believers and the emigrants except that you can do kindness to your friends. That has been that is stated in the scripture.

[33:7] And when we had taken from the prophets their covenant, and from you (Muhammad), and from Noah, and Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus son of Mary (wa-idh akhadh’naa mina al-nabiyyeena meethaaqahum wa-minka wa-min nuuhin wa-ib’raaheema wa-muusaa wa-`eesaa ib’ni maryama). And we had taken from them a solemn covenant.

[33:13] And when a party of them said: “O people of Yathrib (Medina), there is no stand for you, so go back.” And a party of them asked permission of the prophet, saying: (wa-yastadhinu fariqun min’humu al-nabiyya yaquuluuna) “Indeed, our homes are exposed,” while it was not exposed. They did not wish except to flee.

[33:28] O prophet, say to your wives: “If you have done to desire the life of the world and luxury of it (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu qul li-azwaajika in kuntunna turid’na al-hayata al-dun’yaa wa-zeenatahaa), then come, I will provide for you and release you an amicable release.”

[33:30] O wives of the prophet, if whoever from you commits of a proven immorality, the two-fold punishment will be doubled for her (yaa’nisaa-a al-nabiyyi man yati minkunna bi-faahishatan mubayyinatin lahaa al-adhaabi di’fayni). And it has been that is easy for God.

[33:32] O wives of the prophet, you have not been like anyone of the women (yaa’nisaa-a al-nabiyyi lastunna ka-ahadin mina al-nisaa-i). If you have feared (God), then you do not be soft in the speech, then he may move with desire whoever has a disease in his heart, and you shall speak a word to be appropriate.

[33:38] It has not been any discomfort on the prophet in what God has decreed upon him ( maa kaana `alaa al-nabiyyin min harajin feemaa farada allahu lahu). It was God’s system with those who had passed away before (yourself). And it has been God’s command a decree be destined.

[33:40] Muhammad has not been a father of anyone of your men but has been a messenger of God and a seal of the prophets (maa kaana muhammadun abaa ahadin min rijaalikum wa-laakin rasuula allahi wa-khaatama al-nabiyyeena). And God has done being Knower of everything.

[33:45] O prophet, indeed, we have sent you a witness and a bearer of good news and a warner (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu innaa arsalnaaka shaahidan wa-mubashiran wa-nadheeran).

[33:50] O prophet, we have made lawful for you your wives to whom you have given their bridal amount, and to whom you have rightfully possessed from whom God has given to you (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu innaa ahlalnaa laka wa-maa malakat yameenuka mimmaa afaa-a allahu `alayka), and daughters of your paternal uncles, and daughters of your paternal aunts, and daughters of your maternal uncles, and daughters of your maternal aunts who have emigrated with you, and a believing woman if she has given herself to the prophet if the prophet has wished to marry her (wa-banaati `ammika wa-banaati `ammaatika wa-banaati khaalika wa-banaati khaalaatika allatee haajarna ma`aka wa-im’ra-atan mu’minatan wahabat nafsahaa lilnnabiyyi in araada al-nabiyyu an yastankihahaa) being exclusive for you other than the believers. Certainly, we have known what we have decreed for them with regard to their wives and whom they have rightfully possessed, that there would not be any discomfort for you. And God has been Forgiving, Merciful.

[33:53] O you who have believed, you do not enter houses of the prophet except that permission is given to you for a meal, without awaiting preparation of it (yaa’ayyuhaa alladheena aamanuu laa-tad’khuluu buyuuta al-nabiyyin illaa an yu’dhana lakum ilaa ta`aamin ghayra naazireena inaahu). But when you have been invited, then you shall enter; then when you have eaten, then you shall leave, and you are not seeking to stay for a conversation. Indeed, that has been to hurt the prophet as he shies from you, while God does not shy of the truth. And when you have asked them (his wives) for anything, then you shall ask them from behind a screen. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts. And it has not been for you that you heart a messenger of God, nor that would you ever marry his wives after of him. Indeed that has been a gross offense with God.

[33:56] Indeed, God and His angels do favor to the prophet ( inna allaha wa-malaa-i-katahu yusalluuna `alaa al-nabiyyi). O you who have believed, you shall do favor to him, and shall greet a befitting greeting (yaa’ayyuhaa alladheena aamanuu salluu `alayhi wa-sallimuu tasleeman).

[33:59] O Prophet, say to your wives, and your daughters, and wives of the believers to place cover over them with their garments (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu qul li-azwaajika wa-banaatika wa-nisaa-i al-mu’mineena yud’reena `alayhinna jalaabeebihinna. That is more appropriate that they can be recognized, then they are not harmed (dhaalika adnaa an yu`rafna fa-laa yu’dhayna). And God is Forgiving, Merciful.

[37:112] And we had given him (Abraham) good news of Isaac, a prophet from the righteous (wa-basharnaahu bi-is’haaqa nabiyyan min al-saaliheena)

[39:69] And the earth has shone with a light of its Lord, and the record has been placed, and has been brought of the prophets and the witnesses; and has been judged between themselves with the truth (wa-jee-a bil-nabiyyeena wal-shuhadaa-i wa-qudiya baynahum bil-haqqi) and they have not been wronged.

[43:6] And how many of a prophet we had sent to the previous generations (wa-kam arsalnaa min nabiyyin fee al-awaleena)?

[43:7] And not of a prophet comes to them except they had done to mock with him (wa-maa yateehim min nabiyyin illaa kaanuu bihi yastahziuuna).

[49:2] O you who have believed, you do not raise your voices above a voice of the prophet (laa-tarfa`uu aswaatakum fawqa sawti al-nabiyyi) nor do you be loud to him in the talking like loudness of you to other lest becomes worthless your deeds while you do not perceive.

[60:12] O prophet, when has come to you the believing women to pledge to you upon that (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu idhaa jaa-aka al-mu’minaatu yubaayi`naka `alaa an) they will not associate anything with God, nor will they steal, nor will they commit adultery, nor will they kill their children, nor will they bring of a slander they invent it between themselves, nor will they disobey you in right order, then you shall accept their pledge, and shall ask forgiveness of God for them. Indeed, God is Forgiving, Merciful.

[65:1] O prophet, when you have decided to divorce the women, then you shall divorce them on their waiting period and shall count the waiting period, and shall fear God your Lord (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu idhaa tallaqtumu al-nisaa-a fa-talliquuhunna li`iddatihinna wa-ah’suu al-`iddata wa-ittaquu allaha rabbakum). You do not evict the women from their homes, nor do they leave except that they commit a proven adultery. That is of limits of God and whoever transgresses limits of God, then he has certainly wronged to his soul. You do not know; may God will bring about a matter (better) after that.

[66:1] O prophet, why do you forbid what God has made lawful for you, to seek pleasing your wives? (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu liman tuharrimu maa ahalla allahu laka tab’taghee mardaata azwaajika) And God is Forgiving, Merciful.

[66:3] And when the prophet had confided a statement to one of his wives, (wa-idh asarra al-nabiyyu ilaa ba`di azwaajika hadeethan), and when she had informed of it and God had made it apparent to him, he had made known a part of it while he had disregarded of a part. Then when he had informed her of it, she said: “Who has informed you of this?” He said: “Has informed me the Knower, the Cognizant.”

[66:8] O you who have believed, turn to God in sincere repentance. It may have been your Lord to remove your deeds from you and to admit you into gardens flowing the rivers underneath of them. A day God will not disgrace the prophet and those who had believed with him (yawma laa-yukh’zee allahu al-nabiyya wa-alladheena aamanuu ma`ahu).Their light will radiate before of them and on their right. They will say: our Lord, perfect our light for us, and grant forgiveness for us; indeed, You have power over everything.”

[66:9] O prophet, strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be stern upon them (yaa’ayyuhaa al-nabiyyu jaahidi al-kufaara wal-munaafiqeena wa-ugh’luz `alayhim). And their abode is Hell and it has been wretched is the destination!

Since the above set of verses in the Quran has addressed certain crucial events, and its review can teach us those events from the Quran, a valid and only source of Islam, and a few of them are cited here as examples to give proper attention for those who want to build their basic concepts using their own God given intelligence to avoid misconceptions and corruptions introduced by tradition as well as by the so called Islamic scholars: definition of prophet and messenger, no distinction between any of His prophets, how to respect the prophet when he has been among the believers, relationship of prophet and his wives with the contemporary believers, dress code for the believing women, mention of certain prophets by name, a prophecy of sending a messenger after the delivery of all the scripture, prophet’s lifetime endeavor, Muhammad delivered a messenger of God and the final edition of the scripture (Quran), and he has been addressed as prophet involving him at his lifetime activities with his contemporaries so that we can understand and follow certain crucial commands in the Quran without idolizing him when he has been among his contemporary believers as well as when he is no more among the believers down the generations.
Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless.
