Authorship of Arabic Quran and mathematical confirmation

God’s authorship of the Quran

Quran is sent down from God with proofs of His authorship. Thus, God being its author has provided both literary and mathematical proofs in it for its unique characteristic of literary mathematical composition not to have any doubt in the hearts of the believers. The mathematical system is embedded in its literary excellence, while the Quran is delivered by the prophet in early 7th century as a reminder for the people, and like Quran its mathematical coding as a reminder for the people is delivered by a messenger of God in 1974 when they are disputing in many matters even deserting the Quran for other sources.

Mathematical coding of Quran

Here is a set of verses in the Quran, which comprises the mathematical coding of the Quran to be a reminder for the human race described below:

[74:30] Over it is nineteen.

[74:31] And we have not made guardians of the Fire except angels, and we have not made their number except a warning for those who disbelieved, that it may ascertain those who have been given the scripture (Jews and Christians) and may increase faith of those who have believed (Muslims), and may not doubt those who have been given the scripture (Jews and Christians) and the believers (Muslims). And that may say those in their hearts there is a disease (hypocrites) and the disbelievers, “What has God meant by this allegory?” Thus, God misguides whomever He wills and He guides whomever He wills. And none knows your Lord’s soldiers except He. And it is not except a reminder for the human race.

[74:32] Nay, (I swear) by the moon.
[74:33] And the night when it departs.
[74:34] And the morning when it brightens.

[74:35] Indeed, it is undoubtedly one of the great (signs).

[74:36] A warning to the human race.
[74:37] For whoever has willed among you that he may advance, or he may stay behind.

The above verses, in fact indicate the 19-based built-in mathematical system in the Quran to be a reminder for humanity to guide them to the right path through analyzing the Quran having the wondrous nature of it. Even this piece of information has a mathematical confirmation if the relevant surah and numbers are added, the sum is a multiple of 19 -> 342 (19X18) as detailed in the table below:

Upon unveiling of the Quran’s mathematical coding being 19 a prophetic sign associated with the fulfillment of the relevant prophesies in the Quran and the common denominator of numerical data derived from the Quran is contributing for accurate interpretation of many verses of the Quran to have explicit proofs of certain crucial events and commandments to perfect our beliefs and practices along with a possibility to exist a one standardized edition of the Quran for all. Such comprehensive mathematical coding of the Quran gives a unique characteristic to it, which could not be possible for an author other than God is a front-line proof that the Quran is from God being characterized by the literary mathematical composition.

Literary Proof

Here are a few verses of the Quran that provide us a very high level evidence that the Quran is from God:

[10:37] And there has not been this – the Quran that it could be produced by other than God, but is a confirmation of that which was before of it and a detailed explanation of the scripture. There is no doubt in it, is from Lord of the worlds.

[11:1] Alif Laam Rah. A scripture has been perfected its verses, then there has been explained from Wise, Cognizant.

[4:82] Do they not then study the Quran carefully? If it had been from other than God, surely, they would have found in it many contradictions.

[6:155] And this scripture we have sent down it is a blessed one; so you shall follow it and shall fear (God) that you may be given mercy.

[21:50] And this is a blessed reminder we have sent down it. Are you then be deniers of it?

[44:3] Indeed, we have sent down it in a night of blessing; indeed, we have been warners.

[97:1] Indeed, we have sent down it in a night of the Power.

Note: The above verses are the literary evidences in the Quran that the Quran comes from Lord of the worlds, the Wise, the Cognizant.

However, God has infinite wisdom so does the Quran, and He has blessed us to have an explicit mathematical confirmation to be the Arabic Quran, a revelation of the scripture from God upon reviewing the pertinent verses in the Quran as detailed below.

A revelation of scripture from God

There are 15 instances of the Arabic word, tanzeel in the Quran in the masculine noun form meaning a revelation or a sending down or a communication, which precisely can be called a divine communication of knowledge to mankind. Out of 15 instances, 12 instances deal with the scripture, a revelation from God, while out of 3 instances, 2 instances deal with its way of sending down and the other one deals with the descending of the angels on a Day of the Judgment. Let us review all the verses where the instances of tanzeel are found to understand what they are referring to:

[20:4] A revelation (tanzeelan) from One who has created the earth and the high heavens.

[26:192] Surely, a revelation (latanzeelu) from Lord of the worlds.

[32:2] A revelation (tanzeelu) of the scripture wherein there is no doubt, is from Lord of the worlds.

[36:5] A revelation (tanzeela) of the Almighty, the Merciful.

[39:1] A revelation (tanzeelu) of the scripture, is from God, the Almighty, the Wise.

[40:2] A revelation (tanzeelu) of the scripture is from God, the Almighty, the Knower.

[41:2] A revelation (tanzeelun) from the Gracious, the Merciful.

[41:42] The falsehood cannot come it before (past) of it, nor behind (future) of it; a revelation (tanzeelun) from Wise, Praiseworthy.

[45:2] A revelation (tanzeelu) of the scripture is from God, the Almighty, the Wise.

[46:2] A revelation (tanzeelu) of the scripture is from God, the Almighty, the Wise.

[56:80] A revelation (tanzeelun) from Lord of the worlds.

[69:43] A revelation (tanzeelun) from Lord of the worlds.

The above verses confirm that the revelation of the scripture is from God with His authorship attaching His 8 great attributes mentioning 19 times along with 4 times of His own name, God (in proper noun). The attributes of God that have been mentioned 19 times are: (1) Creator – 1, (2) Lord – 4, (3) the Almighty- 5, (4) the Most Wise – 4, (5) the Most Merciful – 2, (6) the Most Gracious – 1, (7) the Omniscient – 1 and (8) a Praiseworthy – 1. The scripture has been associated with a revelation 5 times in the set of verses as God knows that His revelation will be in written form for accurate preservation and propagation while a revelation is a verbal communication.

Here are also details of the other 3 instances of tanzeelan found in the Quran that are not directly connected to the instances dealing with a revelation of scripture from God, even the messages in the verses are very important for us:

[17:106] And a Quran we have divided it that you may recite it to the people over a period of time; and we have sent down it a gradual sending down (tanzeelan).

[25:25] And a day there will break open the sky with the clouds, and has been sent down the angels in descending (tanzeelan).

[76:23] Indeed, we have sent down to you (Muhammad) the Quran a gradual sending down (tanzeelan).

Note: The messages in the above verses including position of the instance (tanzeelan) at the end of the verses indicates that these verses are not directly connected to the above set of verses as there is no specific mention of a revelation from God, and there is another verse in the Quran to indicate similar message as mentioned below to have clear understanding of logic to separate them:
[25:32] Those who have disbelieved said, “Why has not been sent down to him (Muhammad) the Quran all at once?” Thus that we may strengthen your heart with it and we have recited it a gradual recitation (tarteelan).

Arabic Quran is a revelation from God

There are 11 references of an Arabic Quran in the Quran in the following 11 straight forward verses that the Quran has been revealed in Arabic:

[12:2] We have revealed it an Arabic (‘arabiyyan) Quran so that you may understand.

[13:37] And thus, we revealed it as a law in Arabic (‘arabiyyan), and if you follow their desires, after what has come to you of the knowledge, you will have no ally, nor a protector against God.

Note: Quran is a source of law in Arabic and all of us are to use the knowledge that has come to us.

[16:103] And we are aware that they say, “A human being is teaching him!” The tongue of the one they refer to is non-Arabic, and this is a clear Arabic (‘arabiyyun) tongue.

[20:113] And we thus revealed it, an Arabic (‘arabiyyan) Quran, and we mentioned in it the warning that they fear (God) or it may cause for them to take heed.
Note: There is a warning in it to fear God as well as to take heed.

[26:195] In a clear Arabic (‘arabiyyin) tongue.

[39:28] An Arabic (‘arabiyyan) Quran, without any crookedness, so that they may be righteous.

[41:3] A scripture, its verses are detailed in an Arabic (‘arabiyyan) Quran for people who know.

[41:44] If we had made it a non-Arabic Quran, they would have said, “Why are not its verses so explained?” Is it non-Arabic or Arabic (‘arabiyyun)? Say, “It is for those who believe, is a guidance and a healing but those who do not believe, there is a deafness in their ears and they are blind to it. These are being addressed from faraway.”
Note: Quran has been revealed in Arabic to make it clear to understand and follow to be a guidance and a healing for those who believe, and the language would not be an issue or concern for them while the disbelievers will be deaf and blind to it.

[42:7] We thus have revealed to you an Arabic (‘arabiyyan) Quran to warn the mother town and whoever around it, and to warn of the Day of Gathering, there is no doubt about it. Some will be in Paradise and some will be in blazing Fire.
Note: There is a warning in the Arabic Quran of the Day of Gathering that some will be in Paradise and some will be in the blazing Fire.

[43:3] We have made it an Arabic (‘arabiyyan) Quran so that you may understand.

[46:12] And before this, the scripture of Moses was a guidance and mercy. This is a confirming scripture in Arabic (‘arabiyyan) tongue, to warn those who transgressed, and to give good news to the righteous.
Note: This is a confirming scripture in Arabic language to warn the transgressors and to give good news to the righteous.

Mathematical Confirmation

There are 2 distinct sets of verses in the Quran: one set consisting of 12 verses across 11 suras dealing with a revelation of the scripture from God and the other set consisting of 11 verses across 10 suras dealing with an Arabic Quran. If the relevant sura # and verse # are added, the sum is a multiple of 19 => 1672 = 19 x 88 (See table below for details):

This mathematical interpretation confirms that an Arabic Quran is a revelation of the scripture from God being a confirming scripture to serve as a guidance as well as a healing for the believers attaching His authorship mentioning 8 of His great attributes repeated 19 times. In addition, the following facts may also be reflected to realize the awesomeness of this mathematical confirmation:

  • The confirming scripture in Arabic serves as a bridge between 2 sets of verses since there is no mention of Quran in the first set but the scripture has been mentioned 5 times in the set while there is reference of Quran in every verse including a confirming scripture in the second set.
  • These 2 distinct sets are closely linked to one another while the individual set cannot be mathematically confirmed, is an indication that these 2 sets are inseparable for better understanding of an Arabic Quran, a revelation of the scripture from God being a confirming scripture.
  • The product in the calculation, which is 88, is a multiple of the sum of total sura and verse #, which is 44 [21+23] in the calculation, and the multiplier is 2 => 88 = 44x2 which confirms the participation of 2 sets of verses in the confirmation.
  • A warning in the Arabic Quran of the Day of Gathering without any doubt in it that some will be in Paradise and some will be in the blazing Fire.
  • Quran has been made Arabic to make it clear to understand and follow to be a guidance and a healing for the believers while the disbelievers will be deaf and blind to it.

Conclusion

2 distinct sets of verses are reviewed together to understand that the Arabic Quran to be a revelation of the scripture from God. The first set of 12 verses across 11 suras dealing with a revelation from God states that there is no doubt about a revelation from God who created the earth and the high heavens. The revelation of the scripture is from God with His authorship attaching His 8 great attributes: (1) the Creator, (2) the Lord, (3) the Almighty, (4) the Most Wise, (5) the Most Merciful, (6) the Most Gracious, (7) the Omniscient and (8) a Praiseworthy, which are mentioned 19 times by repeating some of His attributes in the set.

The second set of 11 verses across 10 suras dealing with an Arabic Quran, a revelation from God states that the Quran has been revealed in Arabic to make it clear to understand and follow being a guidance and a healing for those who believe, and the language would not be an issue or concern for them while the disbelievers will be deaf and blind to it. It is a source of law in Arabic and all of us are to use the knowledge that has come to us in it. There is a warning in Arabic Quran to fear God as well as to take heed. There is also a warning of the Day of Gathering that some will be in Paradise and some will be in the blazing Fire. This is a confirming scripture in Arabic language to warn the transgressors but to give good news to the righteous.

Those who can read the Arabic may appreciate the excellence of the literature of the Quran but those who do not know the Arabic, may appreciate the excellence of the message by reading the Quran in any language keeping in mind that God guarantees the message in the Arabic Quran. Since understanding of God’s teachings and laws in the Quran is the priority, having the Quran in an Arabic or non-Arabic book may not make a difference but in case of any misinterpretation, disputes or discrepancies in any translation or across the translations must be addressed to make an inquiry into the Arabic Quran, and God has promised in the Quran that a pure Arabic Quran will continue to exist until the end of the world without missing a single message from it (15:9).

God is the author of the Arabic Quran, a scripture with a solid physical proof of His authorship confirmed from the 23 straightforward verses consisting of 2 distinct sets in the Quran. It may be an opportunity for the believers who want to strengthen their belief in the Almighty God, His religion, the way He can be remembered and pleased, and the Quran, a source of knowledge to confirm His way to do His given rites right way to deserve His Paradise as promised to the righteous. It may also help them focus on the divine source diverting it from other sources, scholars, imams, saints, prophets or messengers introduced by the Satan. God has infinite wisdom so does the Quran, and He has blessed us to have an explicit confirmation of an Arabic Quran, a revelation of the scripture from God upon reviewing the pertinent verses of the Quran. Is it not a wonder for us that not only the Arabic Quran, a revelation of the scripture from God but also a confirming scripture in Arabic to serve as a guidance and a healing for the believers has come with both literary and mathematical confirmation?
Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless.
