7 is a very significant number as per God is our concern

Number 7 is the world’s favorite number to be considered auspicious as there are seven days of the week, seven colors of the rainbow, seven notes on a musical scale, seven seas and seven continents etc. However, 7 is connected with many significant events as per God is concerned but here are a few cited as examples that may help us to do the righteous deeds in preparing ourselves for the Hereafter to avoid the interim punishment starting at the time of our death as well as the eternal punishment of Hell entering through any of its 7 gates on a Day of the Judgment:

    1. There are many verses in the Quran related to the creation of the universe while God has specifically mentioned in the 7 verses of 7 surahs that He has created the heavens and the earth, and what is between them in six days, and has established Himself on the throne to understand His presence around us even though we do not see Him with our vision, while we may also reflect to the famous statement made by Galileo, the father of modern science: “Mathematics is the language with which God created the universe”:

[7:54] Indeed, your Lord is God, One who has created the heavens and the earth in six days (fee sittati ayyaamin), then He has ascended upon the throne. He makes the night cover the day, which pursues it in continuance; and the sun and the moon and the stars are subjected by His command; undoubtedly, to Him is the creation and the command. Blessed is God, Lord of the worlds.
[10:3] Indeed, your Lord is God, One who created the heavens and the earth in six days (fee sittati ayyaamin), then He established Himself upon the throne to manage all affairs. There is no intercessor except by His leave. That is God, your Lord, so worship Him. Then will you not remember?
[11:7] And He is One who has created the heavens and the earth in six days (fee sittati ayyaamin), and His dominion was upon the water (the earth covered with 71% water) that He might test you among you who have the best works. And when you say: “Indeed, you will be resurrected after the death,” surely, those who disbelieved would say: “This is not but clear magic!”
Note: Water is associated with the earth to indicate the existence of human being on earth only.
[25:59] One who has created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days (fee sittati ayyaamin), then He has established Himself upon the throne, the Gracious, so you shall ask about Him who have been aware of.
[32:4] God is One who has created the heavens and the earth, and whatever is between them in six days (fee sittati ayyaamin), then He established Himself upon the throne. You have not a protector beside Him, nor an intercessor. Then will you not take heed?
[50:38] And certainly, we have created the heavens and the earth, and what is between them in six days (fee sittati ayyaamin), and no fatigue has touched us.
[57:4] He is One who has created the heavens and the earth in six days (fee sittati ayyaamin), then He has established Himself upon the throne. He knows what enters into the earth and what comes out of it, and what descends from the heaven (sky) and what ascends in it, and He is with you wherever you have been. And God is Seer of what you do.
    2.
      Mathematical confirmation

God has created the heavens and the earth in six days are found in 7 verses across 7 surahs in the Quran, and if the relevant verse and surah numbers are added, the total is a multiple of 19 => 361 (19×19) as shown in the table below:

Note: This mathematical confirmation is an explicit proof that God has created the vast universe consisting of the seven heavens and the earth in six days indicating presence of life in the earth associated with water.

    3. God has given us specific words in surah al-Faatihah consisting of 7 verses that we recite in Arabic in a rhythmic and meaningful way to make our contact with Him and ask Him to Whom is sought to get help to guide us to the straight path:

[1:1] In the Name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[1:2] All praise to God, Lord of the worlds.
      [1:3] The Gracious, the Merciful.
[1:4] Master of a Day of the Judgment.
[1:5] You alone we worship and You alone we ask for help.
[1:6] Guide us to the straight path.
[1:7] A path of those whom You have blessed; not of those who have incurred wrath on themselves, nor of the strayers.

    4. The sum of digits of the crucial verse that we recite in our specific words to ask God to guide us to the straight path is 7 [1:6 => 1+ 6 = 7] and what should mean to us that His straight path is to learn and follow the Quran, which brings an abode of the peace and a great reward for the intelligent (6:126-127, 17:9 and 39:18):

[6:126] And this (Quran) is a straight path to your Lord. Certainly, we have explained the revelations for a people who take heed.
[6:127] For them is an abode of the peace with their Lord, and He is their Protector for what they have done to accomplish.
[17:9] Indeed, this – the Quran guides to that which is most straight and gives good news to the believers who do righteous works that for them there is a great reward.
[39:18] They are the ones who examine all words, then follow the best. These are the ones whom God has guided; these are the ones who possess intelligence.

    5. What we recite in our specific words to ask God to guide us to the straight path is composed of 3 words [ih’dinaaal-siraatal-mustaqeem] and what we recite during returning from bowing to standing expecting response from Him is composed of 4 words [samee`a allahu liman hamidah]. The sum of the words recited to be granted what we ask in the prayer is 7 [3 + 4 = 7]. Hence, those who study the Quran and follow the guidance given in it avoiding all man-made teachings and rules to lead their life may reflect to the fact that their prayers are being responded to guide them to the straight path of God while we know that the wicked have no access to it (17:45-46 and 18:57):

[17:45] And when you read the Quran, we place between you and those who do not believe in the Hereafter an invisible barrier.
[17:46] And we place coverings around their hearts lest they understand it, and a deafness in their ears. And if you mention your Lord in the Quran alone, they turn on their backs in aversion.
[18:57] Who is more wicked than the one who is reminded with his Lord’s revelations but he turns away from them, forgetting what he has with him. Indeed, we have placed veils on their hearts lest they understand it, and deafness in their ears, and if you invite them to the guidance, they will never ever be guided.

    6. Right recitation at the Salat prayer has 7 components at 7 positions, and if we can observe Salat reciting them as given being reverent to God, we may expect response from Him:

      1. Starting the prayer saying (1) allahu akbar and reciting (2) al-Faatihah at standing position.
      2. Going to bowing reciting allahu akbar (repeated) and reciting (3) subhana rabbiyal azeem at bowing position.
      3. Returning to standing reciting (4) samee’a allahu liman hamidah.
      4. Going to prostration saying allahu akbar (repeated) and reciting (5) subhana rabiyal alaa at prostration.
      5. Returning to sitting saying allahu akbar (repeated).
      6. Going to prostration saying allahu akbar (repeated) and reciting subhana rabbiyal alaa (repeated) at prostration.
      7. Returning to standing from sitting saying allahu akbar (repeated) or reciting (6) ash-hadu an laa-ilaaha illaa allah wahdahu laa-shareeka lah or ending the prayer reciting (7) as’salaamu `alaykum.

    7. The whole Quran was placed into prophet’s soul on the night of 27th Ramadan in 13 B.H. (609 A.D). This great night in singular feminine form has been mentioned 7 times in the 7 verses of the Quran calling it “A Night of the Power” 3 times, “A blessed night” 1 time and 3 times referring as its feminine pronoun form, while the night of 27th can be confirmed from the phrase in the surah, “laylat al-qadr” consisting of 9 letters repeated 3 times being 9 x 3 is 27, and 27th position of the pronoun, hiya out of 30 words in the surah are hints that the Quran has been sent down on the night of 27th in the month it has been sent down, which is Ramadan as found in (2:185), and the relationship can be confirmed from the fact if surah and number of the two verses, 97:1 and 2:185 are added, the sum is a multiple of 19 => 97 + 1 + 2 + 185 = 98 + 187 = 285 (19X15). :

[97:1] Indeed, we have sent down it (Quran) in a Night of the Power (laylati al-qadri).
[97:2] Do you know what a Night of the Power (laylatu al-qadri) is?
[97:3] A Night of the Power (laylati al-qadri) is better than a thousand months.
[97:4] There descends the angels and the Gabriel in it (feehaa) by permission their Lord with every command.
[97:5] Peace it (hiya) is until the advent of the dawn.
[44:3] Indeed, we have sent down it (Quran) in a night of blessing (laylatin mubaarakatin), indeed, we have been warners.
[44:4] In it (feehaa), every matter of wisdom is clarified.

    8. God has informed us in the Quran that His Kingdom consists of 7 heavens and equal number of earth and His commands flow among them and He is powerful over all things so that we may reflect to His sovereignty:

[65:12] God is the One who created the seven (sab’a) heavens and the earth, as like of them. The command flows among them that God is powerful over all things and that God is fully aware of all things.
[67:3] He created the seven (sab’a) heavens in layers. You do not see any imperfection in the creation of the Most Gracious. So turn the vision, do you see any flaw?
    9. The pilgrims walk around the Ka’ba 7 times (22:26) and traverse the distance between Safa and Marwah 7 times (2:158) to complete Hajj and ‘Umrah while Hajj did exist long before the revelation of the Quran being an ancient rite (28:27):

[22:26] And when we assigned to Abraham the location of the House that do not associate anything with Me and you shall purify My House for those who go around, those who devote, those who bow and those who prostrate.
[2:158] The Safa and the Marwah are among the symbols of God. So, whoever performs Hajj to the House or performs Umrah, then there is no blame on him that he traverses between them. And whoever does goodness, then God is Appreciative, Omniscient.
[28:27] He said: “I wish you to marry one of my two daughters that you serve me for eight pilgrimage period of time, but if you complete ten, it will be from your part, and I do not wish to make it difficult for you. God willing, you will find me righteous.”

    10. Hell will be created on the Day of Judgment and it will have 7 gates and the guilty will enter it through any of the assigned gates to suffer the specific portion of their punishment upon equitable judgment:

[81:12] And when Hell is ignited.
[15:44] It will have seven gates. Each gate will get a specific share of them.
[39:72] It will be said, “Enter the gates of Hell, wherein you abide forever.” What a miserable destiny for the arrogant!
[4:145] The hypocrites will be in the lowest level of the Fire (Hell), and you will not find any helper for them.

    11. All our praise from the life of the world to the Hereafter belongs to God, Lord of the worlds, and the expression, “All praise to God, Lord of the worlds” [al-hamdu lillahi rabbil Aalameen] and [lillahi al-hamdu rabbil Aalameen] is repeated 7 times in the Quran so that we can receive what we expect from Him:

[1:2] All praise to God (al-hamdu lillahi), Lord of the worlds.
[6:45] Thus was the wiping out of the remaining people who were wicked, and all praise to God (al-hamdu lillahi), Lord of the worlds.
[10:10] Their prayer in it is: “Glory is Yours, O God!”, and their greeting in it is: “Peace,” and their final prayer is: “All praise to God (al-hamdu lillahi), Lord of the worlds.”
[37:182] And all praise to God (al-hamdu lillahi), Lord of the worlds.
[39:75] And you will see the angels surrounding the throne, glorifying with praise of their Lord. And it will be judged between them with the truth, and it will be said: “All praise be to God (al-hamdu lillahi), Lord of the worlds.”
[40:65] He is the Living; there is no god except He. So, you shall call Him being sincere to Him in the religion. All praise to God (al-hamdu lillahi), Lord of the worlds.
[45:36] Then, to God all praise (fa-lillahi al-hamdu), Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth; Lord of the worlds.
    12. There are 7 days in a week and 5 times Salat prayer in each day (20:130). Hence, there are 17 units in each day from Saturday through Thursday while there are 15 units on Friday as 4 units of Zahur prayer are replaced with 2 units prayer and 2 sermons on Friday. God has blessed us with the knowledge to confirm 5 times 17 units in each day from Saturday through Thursday and 15 units on Friday using the common denominator of the mathematical coding of Quran, 19 to remove any doubt about the number of units of Salat to be observed each day by deriving the fact from the figures below:

      The total from the mathematical figures (5 + 15) x 1 + (5 + 17) x 6, where 5 represent 5 times a day, 15 represent 15 units on Friday for 1 day of the week, and 17 represent 17 units each day from Saturday through Thursday for 6 days of the week is a multiple of 19 => 20 + 132 = 152 (19x8).
    13. There are 7 verses across 5 suras in the Quran stating that there is no preference of any God’s prophets and messengers except to focus on the message given to them:

[2:136] Say: “We believe in God and in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord; we do not make a distinction between any of them and to Him we are submitters.”
[2:285] The messenger believes in what was sent down to him from his Lord. And the believers, all who believe in God, and His angles, and His scriptures, and His messengers; we do not make a distinction between any of His messengers; and they said: “We hear and obey, forgive us our Lord, and to you is our destiny.”
[3:84] Say: “We believe in God and what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Patriarchs, and what was given to Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We do not make any distinction between them, and to Him we are submitters.”
[3:194] “Our Lord, grant us what You have promised us through Your messengers (the messages), and do not forsake us on the Day of Resurrection. You never break a promise.”
[4:152] And those who believe in God and His messengers and do not make a distinction between any of them, we will give them their rewards. And God is Forgiving, Merciful.
Note: Here is the commandment of not to make a distinction between any of God’s prophets and messengers is very straightforward.
[7:144] He said, “O Moses, I have chosen you, over all the people, with My messages and by speaking to you. Therefore, take what I have given you and be appreciative.
[17:55] Your Lord is the best knower of everyone in the heavens and the earth. In accordance with this knowledge, we preferred some prophets over others. And we gave David the Psalms.
Note: Here is an indication of preference that may confuse us that there is a distinction between His messengers but the commandment for us is to focus on the messages not the persons who are chosen to deliver the message.
    14. God has made the Quran straightforward for the warning and the sincere can access it being freed from any interfere of the Satan are addressed in the 7 verses across 3 suras of the Quran to be benefitted from it deriving the message:

[16:98] So, when you read the Quran, you shall seek refuge with God from the Satan, the rejected.
[54:17] And certainly, we have made the Quran straightforward for the warning. So, is there any who will have admonition?
[54:22] And certainly, we have made the Quran straightforward for the warning. So, is there any who will have admonition?
[54:32] And certainly, we have made the Quran straightforward for the warning. So, is there any who will have admonition?
[54:40] And certainly, we have made the Quran straightforward for the warning. So, is there any who will have admonition?
[56:79] None can touch (grasp) it (Quran) except the purified (the sincere).
[56:80] A revelation from the Lord of the universe.

    15. God is merciful on us and has given all the words in the Quran that we need to perfect our beliefs and practices as righteous, and what He left out of it has left out deliberately referring to 7 seas as ink supply and all the trees in the earth as pens:

[18:109] Say, “If the ocean had been ink for my Lord’s words, certainly, the ocean had run out before that my Lord’s words ran out, even if we brought of like it as ink supplement.”
[31:27] And if that whatever in the earth of trees were pens, and the ocean were (ink), adding to it of its after were seven oceans, God’s words had not run out. Indeed, God is Almighty, Wise.
    16. There are many proofs in the heavens and the earth that the disbelievers pass by heedlessly while there are 7 colors in the rainbow:

[10:101] Say: “Look at what is in the heavens and the earth.” But the signs and the warnings are not benefitting to a people who do not believe.
[12:105] And how many a sign is there in the heavens and the earth that they pass by, and are turning away from it.
[30:22] And among His signs are the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the difference of your languages and your colors. In that, indeed, there are signs for the people of intelligence.

    17. The Muslim community around the world has assigned certain attributes to prophet Muhammad that made him a super human but God has introduced him to the world as a simple human being who leaned to his own people to whom he belonged to (the idol worshipers) before he was chosen to deliver the final edition of God’s scripture in the 7 verses of the Quran:

[6:56] Say, “Indeed me, I (Muhammad) have been forbidden that I worship those whom you call other than God.” Say, “I do not follow your desire, certainly, I have gone astray then and I am not with the guided ones.”
[39:65] And certainly, it has been inspired to you (Muhammad) and to those before yourself; certainly, if you have associated (with God), certainly, your deeds will become worthless, and certainly, you will be with the losers.
[40:66] Say: “Indeed me, I (Muhammad) have been forbidden that I worship those whom you call other than God when has come to me the clear proofs from my Lord, and I have been commanded that I submit to Lord of the worlds.”
Note: Prophet Muhammad was an idol worshiper before he had been chosen to deliver the final edition of God’s scripture.
[17:73] And they have almost diverted you (Muhammad) from that which we have revealed to you that you fabricate about us other than it, and then they have taken you as a friend!
[17:74] And if not that we have strengthened you, certainly, you have almost been to incline to them in something a little.
[4:113] And if not that it has been God’s grace upon you (Muhammad) and His mercy, certainly, has misguided a group of them that they mislead you. And they do not mislead except themselves and they cannot harm you in anything. And God has sent down to you the scripture and the wisdom, and taught you what you do not know. And God’s grace has been great upon you.
Note: Leaning to the own people is a human tendency and Muhammad was not able to completely overcome it even after being blessed by God to be a prophet to deliver the Quran.
[22:52] And we have not sent any messenger before yourself (Muhammad) nor a prophet except when he has recited, the Satan has cast in his recitation, while God abolishes what the Satan cast. Thus, God establishes His revelations, and God is Knower, Wise.
Note: This is in reference to the withdrawal of two verses mistakenly recited appreciating three goddesses by the prophet.

In summary, the people associated with number 7 are highly intuitive and have interest in hidden and spiritual sciences. But our focus is number 7 has been given very significance as far as spirituality is concerned. The association of this number is very broad in spirituality while we can reflect to some of them what are crucial for us to understand the sovereignty of God as well as to obey and remember Him following His given words: (1) the creation of the universe, (2) the presence of human being only on earth as a testing place providing necessary ecosystems, (3) specific words to make contact with God and words as guidance to follow given in a great night, (4) practicing Salat to expect response from God with realizing that our Salat prayers are being responded by Him, (5) right recitation during the Salat prayers to praise and glorify God being our god (elaheen), (6) practicing the Hajj ritual, (7) confirming method and units of prayer each day including Friday, (8) no preference of any messengers and prophets of God except for focusing on the message given to them that plays the key role, (9) reflecting on exact number of words given in the final scripture as our guidance and the sincere have been granted access to it, (10) there are many signs in the heavens and the earth to reflect not to become disbelievers disregarding them, and (11) the true believers and the God chosen are strengthened to stay in the straight path being prevented from the misguidance of the Satan and his allies for the safe return to the Hereafter.
Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless.
    Tafazzal (5/4/2018).
