The miracle given to Muhammad and its math confirmation

Introduction

It is God’s system to associate His signs (miracles) with His prophets and messengers as clear proofs so that people can believe them and follow the message sent with them. But we learn it from the Quran that the prophets and messengers who came before Muhammad were supported with visual signs, which were stopped when the Quran was revealed to him. Thus, the miracles given to the previous messengers such as Saleh, Joseph, Moses and Jesus were obvious but what was given to Muhammad who delivered the Quran is the subject of interpretation from the hints given in the message to reflect on it. The old Islamic scholars made the Quran miraculous assigning illiteracy to Muhammad misinterpreting the Arabic word, ummy in the Quran but this word clearly means “Gentile” or one who does not follow or know or read the previous scripture in the context. It is true in a broader sense that the Quran is miraculous while the review of the detail about the miracle given to both Saleh and Muhammad may provide us a better idea to have specific of the miracle given to Muhammad, which is not known or clear to many of us, even though the Quran is around us for more than 1400 years.

However, here are the details of the verses of the Quran in connection with the miracle given to Saleh and Muhammad including the message and miracle given to Rashad as a messenger of God:

Verses that detail the miracle given to Saleh

Saleh was sent to Thamood with a core message: “My people, worship God, you have no god other than Him” supported by the she-camel, which used to drink water in specific days. The detail of the miracle given to him is found in 40 verses across 4 suras of the Quran:

[7:73] And to Thamood, we sent their brother Saleh, he said: “My people, worship God, you have no god other than Him. Indeed, a clear proof has come to you from your Lord. This is a God’s camel (she-camel) for you is a sign, so leave her to eat in God’s land, and do not touch her with harm, lest the painful retribution seizes you.
[7:74] “And remember when He made you (Thamood) successors after ‘Aad, and He settled you in the land. You make palaces from its plains and you carve out the mountains as homes. So remember God’s grace, and do not act wickedly in the earth as the corruptors.”
[7:75] The arrogant leaders among his people said to those who believed among the prevented ones, “How do you know that Saleh is sent from his Lord?” They said, “What (the message) is sent with him has made us believers.”
[7:76] Those who were arrogant said: “Indeed, we are disbelievers in that you believe with him.”
[7:77] So they slaughtered the camel, and were disrespectful to their Lord’s command, and they said: “O Saleh, bring us what you promised us if you are a messenger.”
[7:78] Then the earthquake took them, so they became lifeless in their homes.

[11:61] And to Thamood their brother Saleh was sent. He said: “My people, worship God, you have no god other than Him. He produced you from the earth and settled you in it, so ask His forgiveness, then repent to Him. Indeed, my Lord is Near, Responsive.”
[11:62] They said: “O Saleh, you were among us who could most likely be trusted before this. Do you forbid us from worshipping what our forefathers worshipped? And we are surely in doubting of what you call us to it.”
[11:63] He said: “O my people, do you know if I am on the clear proof from my Lord, and He has given me a mercy from Him, then who could help me against God if I would have disobeyed Him? So you would not increase me other than loss.
[11:64] “And O my people, this God’s camel (she-camel) is a sign for you, so leave her to eat in the God’s land, and do not touch her with harm, lest an impending retribution will seize you.”
[11:65] But they slaughtered her. So he said: “Enjoy three days in your homes. That is a promise not to be belied.”
[11:66] So, when our command came, we saved Saleh and those who believed with him with a mercy from us and from the disgrace of that day. Indeed, your Lord is the Powerful, the Almighty.

[26:141] Thamoud disbelieved the messengers.
[26:142] Their brother Sãleh said to them, “Will you not fear?
[26:143] ” Indeed, I am a faithful messenger to you.
[26:144]“So you shall fear God, and obey me.
[26:145] “And I do not ask you for it any wage; my wage is not but with Lord of the universe.
[26:146] “Will you be left secure in what is here?
[26:147] “In gardens and springs.
[26:148] “And crops and date palms with their soft spadices.
[26:149] “You carve out of the mountains as homes with great skills.
[26:150] “So you shall fear God, and obey me.
[26:151] “And do not obey the command of the transgressors.
[26:152] “Those who spread corruptions in the earth but never reform.”
[26:153] They said, “You are just bewitched.
[26:154] “You are no more than a human like us, so bring a sign, if you are truthful.”
[26:155] He said: “This is a camel (she-camel) which will have to drink and you will drink on a specific day.”
[26:156] “And do not touch her with harm, lest the retribution of a great day will seize you.”
[26:157] But they slaughtered her, then they became regretful.
[26:158] So the retribution seized them. Indeed, in that there is a lesson, but most of them are not believers.
[26:159] Indeed, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful.

[54:23] Thamood denied the warnings.
[54:24] They said, “Shall we follow a human, one among us? Indeed, we will then surely, go astray and Hell.
[54:25] “Has the reminder been sent with him, instead of us? He is a great liar.”
[54:26] They will know tomorrow who the great liar is.
[54:27] Indeed, we are sending the camel (she-camel) as a test for them. So watch them and be patient.
[54:28] And inform them that the water shall be divided between them; each shall be allowed to drink in the specified time.
[54:29] But they called on their friend, so he took to slaughter.
[54:30] So, how was My retribution and My warnings?
[54:31] Indeed, we sent upon them one blast, and they became like harvested hay.

Verse to stop visual signs

The message in the verse is a land mark to establish a connection between the miracle given to Saleh and Muhammad for indication of the discontinuation of sending a visual sign.

[17:59] And we did not stop sending of the signs except that the people of the earlier generations had denied with them. And we gave Thamood the camel (she-camel) as a visible sign but they wronged her. And we do not send the signs except for a warning.
Note: There is also mention of Saleh in 27:45-53 but without association of the miracle given to him.

Verses that detail the miracle given to Muhammad

Muhammad was given the Quran, the final scripture mentioning that which is being recited to his people is enough for them in response of their demand for a miracle as the association of a visual sign with God’s messenger was discontinued from his time inviting a challenge to produce a Quran like this or a part of it if they are in doubt of what was sent down to him:

Demanding a miracle by his people
[2:118] And those who do not know said: “Why not God speaks to us, or a sign comes to us?” It is like that of those who said before them is similar to their saying. Their hearts are alike. Indeed, we have clarified the revelations for a people who truly believe.
[6:37] They said, “Why is not a sign sent down to him (Muhammad) from his Lord?” Say, “God is able to send down a sign, but most of them do not know.”
[7:203] And when you do not bring them a sign, they say: “Why have you not got it?” Say: “I only follow what is inspired to me from my Lord. This is enlightenment from your Lord, and guidance and mercy to a people who believe.”
[10:20] And they say: “Why not a sign is sent down to him from his Lord.” Then say: “The future is only with God, so wait, indeed, I am waiting along with you.”

Response for demanding a miracle by his people
[29:49] In fact, these revelations are clear in the chests of those who are given the knowledge, and none reject our revelations except the wicked.
[29:50] And they (the wicked) said, “If only miracles would come down to him from his Lord!” Say, “All miracles belong to God, and I am just a warner.”
[29:51] Is it not enough for them that we sent down to you (Muhammad) the scripture, which is recited to them? In that (Quran), there is indeed, a mercy and a reminder (dhik’raa) for a people who believe.
Note: The verse, 29:51 is a statement in response of the concern of miracle raised by the wicked in the previous verses about the miracles they wished to see to come down with the prophet, wherein there is an indication that the message sent down to Muhammad is miraculous.

The challenge to produce a Quran like this or a part of it
[2:23] And if you are in doubt of what we have sent down to our servant (Muhammad), then produce a chapter like it, and call your witnesses from other than God if you are truthful.
[2:24] But if you cannot do; and you will never be able to do, then fear the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.
[10:38] Or do they say he (Muhammad) invented it? Say: “Then produce a chapter like it, and call whoever you can from other than God if you are truthful!”
[11:13] Or do they say he invented it? Say: “Then produce ten invented chapters like it, and call whoever you can from other than God if you are truthful.”
[17:88] Say, “If the human and the Jinn were united together to bring a Quran like this, they could not bring one like this, even if they were helpers of one another.”
Note: The challenge indicates that Quran is a treasure of knowledge and infinite wisdom, which is impossible to incorporate in any fabrication of it even though it is claimed that the similar literacy excellence is maintained producing something like it or a part of it.

Mathematical confirmations

There are 40 verses that talk about the detail of the miracle given to Saleh and 12 verses talk about the detail of the miracle given to Muhammad while 1 verse indicates a connection between the details of the miracle given to Saleh and Muhammad stating the discontinuation of sending a visual sign with the revelation of the Quran. From the following mathematical patterns it can be confirmed the miracle given to Muhammad:

(1) Relationship between Saleh and Muhammad with regard to the miracle given to them.

There are 40 verses that talk about the miracle given to Salah and 4 verses that state the miracle given to Muhammad including the verse that has stated the discontinuation of a visual sign with the revelation of Quran altogether 45 verses across 7 suras. If the relevant sura and numbers are added, the sum is a multiple of 19 => 4275 = 19x225 (See details in the table below):

Note: Participation of 2:23, 10:38, 11:13 and 17:88 as well as 17:59 in the calculation provides an explicit proof that Muhammad was not given any visual sign but the non-visual sign what is associated with him is the challenge to produce a Quran like this or a part of it.

(2) Verses all about the miracle given to Muhammad

There are 4 verses about demanding of a miracle by his people, 3 verses about response of demanding for a miracle by his people, 5 verses about the challenge to produce a Quran like this or a part of it including the verse that states the discontinuation of a visual sign with the revelation of Quran altogether 13 verses across 7 suras. If the relevant sura and numbers are added, the sum of the relevant sura and verse numbers is a multiple of 19 => 885 = 19x45 (See details in the table below):

Note: This mathematical confirmation is an explicit proof that the miracle given to Muhammad is non-visual and coded in the message (Quran) revealed to him.

(3) Core verses that state the miracle given to him

There are 4 verses about the challenge to produce a Quran or a part like the Quran revealed to Muhammad including a verse to warn not to be able to do that and the verse that states the discontinuation of a visual sign with the revelation of Quran altogether 6 verses across 4 suras. If the relevant sura and numbers are added, the sum is a multiple of 19 => 285 = 19x15 (See details in the table below):

Note: This mathematical confirmation is an explicit proof of what had been associated with Muhammad being a miracle coded in the message given to him, is the challenge to produce a Quran or a part like the Quran revealed to him.

Message and miracle given to Rashad as a God’s messenger of covenant

Subsequently, Rashad, a messenger of covenant was sent with the mathematical coding of Quran when the punishment is almost due upon us (27:82) supported by the number 19. The miracle given to him is also coded in the message given to him that conforms to the principle established for Muhammad related to the miracle given to him:

[74:30] Over it is nineteen.
[74:31] And we made the angels to be guardians of Hell, and we did not make their number except: (1) to warn the disbelievers, (2) to make certain for those who were given the scripture (Jews and Christians), (3) to strengthen the faith of those who believe (Muslims), and (4) to eliminate any doubt from those who were given the scripture and the believers. Those who have disease in their hearts (hypocrites) as well as the disbelievers would say, “What did God mean by this allegory?” Thus, God misguides whomever he wills and He guides whomever He wills. None knows your Lord’s soldiers except He. And it (hiya) is but a reminder (dhik’raa) for the humans.
[74:32-34] Absolutely, (I swear) by the moon. And the night as it passes. And the morning as it shines.
[74:35] This is one of the great (signs).
[74:36-37] A warning to the human race. For those among you who wish to advance or regress.

Mathematical confirmation

There are 8 verses in sura 74 that exactly describe the message given to Rashad, is the mathematical coding of the Quran. If the sura and verse numbers are added, the sum is a multiple of 19 => 342 = 19x18 (See details in the table below):

Note: This mathematical confirmation is an explicit proof of the message given to Rashad, which is the mathematical coding of Quran (74:30-37) focusing on (74:31) being supported by 19, a miracle given to him found in the message given to him as well (74:30 & 35).

Conclusion

The verses about the detail of the miracle given to Saleh and Muhammad are reviewed together to understand that Muhammad was given a non-visual sign which means that his sign is coded in the message given to him. Thus, we get into a new era of supporting God’s messenger with His sign coded in the message given to him started with the revelation of the Quran. The verses about the detail of the miracle given to Muhammad are reviewed especially focusing on two statements: (1) “Is it not enough for them that we sent down to you the scripture being recited to them?” and (2) “The challenge to produce a Quran like this or a part of it, even all the humans and the Jinns being banded together” to have a better idea of the miracle given to him. In the first statement there is a clear hint to be wondrous of what is being recited to him in response of demanding for a miracle while the second statement can logically be thought of the miracle given to him being the challenge to produce something incorporating knowledge and wisdom as given in the message. Moreover, the warning appended to the challenge is to strengthen the hearts of the believers while the disbelievers would realize that it has been made impossible to produce anything like this incorporating unlimited knowledge and wisdom in the message revealed to him, even if it is claimed by any literary giant at any time that he has produced a literary work as excellent as the Quran.

The miracle given to Muhammad mentioned in the Quran will prevail until the end of the world, is another proof of the Quran to be the final scripture. In addition, the miracle given to Rashad, a messenger sent after him with the mathematical coding of Quran follows the same pattern as the miracles given to both coded in their given messages. The principle instituted in the final scripture also play a significant role to disregard any false claimant as prophet or messenger claiming of a visual sign. The miracle given to Muhammad supported by an explicit proof, and so does what is given to Rashad is an opportunity for us to be guided to the straight path if we follow the given messages when came to us while their presence or absence among us does not make a difference as the Quran and its mathematical coding serve as guidance and mercy for all people at all times.
Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless.
