The creation of the universe is not a mystery to us what we know from the Quran, the final scripture of God supported by the discovery of the modern science, making it distinct from what is found in the Torah that the first creation account is divided into seven days during which God creates light (day 1); the sky (day 2); the earth, seas, and vegetation (day 3); the sun and moon (day 4); animals of the air and sea (day 5); and land animals and humans (day 6). God rested from his work on the seventh day of creation, the Sabbath.
Here is specific details from the Quran that we can be true believers in God and that we can worship Him without associating partners with Him:
- God has created the heavens and the earth parting from a single entity and all living creatures from the water, while He has created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them with the truth for an appointed term that a day will be blown in the trumpet to recompense every soul for whatever it has earned, and there are signs in it for the believers that He has exalted so high to reflect not to associate partners with Him:
[21:30] Do not see those who have disbelieved that the heaven and the earth had been a single entity, then we have parted them? And we have made every living thing from the water. Do they not then believe?
[6:73] And He is One who has created the heavens and the earth with the truth, and a Day He says: “Be,” then it is! His word is the truth. And to Him is the sovereignty, a Day will be blown in the trumpet, Knower of the unseen and the seen. And He is the Wise, the Cognizant.
[14:19] Do you not see that God has created the heavens and the earth with the truth? If He wills, He could remove you and bring of a new creation.
[15:85] And we have not created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between of them except with the truth. And the Hour is surely coming. So you shall overlook the gracious attractiveness.
[16:3] He has created the heavens and the earth with the truth. He has exalted so high above what they associate.
[29:44] God has created the heavens and the earth with the truth. Indeed, in that there is surely a sign for the believers.
[30:8] Do they not reflect within themselves? God has not created the heavens and the earth, and what is between themselves except with the truth and for an appointed term? And indeed, most of the people are surely disbelievers in meeting of their Lord.
[39:5] He has created the heavens and the earth with the truth. He rotates the night over the day, and He rotates the day over the night. And He has committed the sun and the moon, each running for an appointed term. Unquestionably, He is the Almighty, the Forgiving.
[44:39] We have not created both of them (the heavens and the earth) except with the truth, but most of them do not know.
[45:22] And God has created the heavens and the earth with the truth, and that every soul may be recompensed for whatever it has earned, and they will not be wronged.
[46:3] We have not created the heavens and the earth, and what is between of them except with the truth, and for an appointed term. And those who have disbelieved from what they have been warned are those who turn away.
[64:3] He has created the heavens and the earth with the truth, and He has designed you, then He has given your best shapes, and to Him is the final return.
Mathematical confirmation
God has created the heavens and the earth from a single entity and whatever is between of them with the truth found in 12 verses of the Quran across 12 surahs, and if the relevant surah and verse number are added, the sum is a multiple of 19 => 703 (19X37) as detailed in the table below:
Note: This mathematical confirmation is an explicit proof that God has created the heavens and the earth and whatever between them with the truth for an appointed term that a day its end is coming to compensate us what we have earned.
- God has created the heavens and the earth and what is between them in six days, and has established Himself on the Throne to dispose all affairs as well as to test us who is better in his deed towards Him, while the night covers the day pursuing in persistence, and the sun, the moon and the stars are committed by His command. There is no protector for us other than Him nor is there any intercessor with Him except His permission:
[7:54] Indeed, your Lord is God, One Who has created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He has established Himself on the Throne. The night covers the day pursuing it in persistence; and the sun, and the moon, and the stars are committed by His command; undoubtedly, to Him is the creation and the command. Blessed is God, Lord of the worlds.
[10:3] Indeed, your Lord is God Who has created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He has established Himself on the Throne to dispose the affair. There is no intercessor, except after His permission. That is God your Lord that you shall worship Him. Then will you not take heed?
[11:7] And He is One Who has created the heavens and the earth in six days, and has been His Throne upon the water that He can test you which of you has been better in deed. And if you said: “Indeed, you will be resurrected after the death.” Surely, those who disbelieved would say: “This is not but a clear magic!”
[25:59] One Who has created the heavens and the earth, and whatever is between both of them in six days, then He has established Himself on the Throne, the Gracious that you shall ask (forgiveness) of Him Who is Cognizant (of sin of His servants).
[32:4] God is One Who has created the heavens and the earth, and whatever is between both of them in six days, then He has established Himself on the Throne. There is no protector for you other than Him, nor is there any intercessor. Then will you not take heed?
[50:38] And certainly, we have created the heavens and the earth, and whatever is between both of them in six days, and no fatigue has touched us.
[57:4] He is One Who has created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He has established Himself on the Throne. He knows what enters into the earth and what comes forth from it, and what descends from the sky and what ascends into it; and He is with you wherever you have been. And God is Seer of what you do.

In addition to two sets of verses describing the creation of the universe with the truth in six days we can also reflect to the following verses to strengthen our hearts to be true believers in God:
- There are signs in the creation of the heavens and the earth for the believers reflecting to the alternation of night and day, placement of mountains on earth, the sky as a protected roof and the rotation of sun, moon in their own orbits to remember Him:
[3:189] And to God belong dominion of the heavens and the earth, and God has power over everything.
[3:190] Indeed, in creation of the heavens and the earth, and alternation of the night and the day, surely, there are signs for possessors of the understanding.
[3:191] Those who remember God in standing, and sitting, and on their sides, while they reflect in creation of the heavens and the earth: “Our Lord, You have not created this in vain. Glory is Yours; so, save us from punishment of the Fire.
[21:31] And we have placed mountains in the earth, lest it tumbles with them, and we have made wide ways therein, that they may be guided.
[21:32] And we have made the sky to be a protected roof, while they turn away from its signs.
[21:33] And He is One who has created the night and the day as well as the sun and the moon – each is rotating in an orbit.
[45:3] Indeed, in the heavens and the earth, there are surely signs for the believers.
- God has created seven heavens and the earth in two days while He has calculated the provisions for all on the earth in four days. Thus, He has completed the universe including all matters of each heaven in six days.
[41:9] Say, “Do you indeed, surely disbelieve in One who has created the earth in two days and set up competitors for Him? That is Lord of the worlds.”
[41:10] And He has placed on it mountains, and He blessed therein and calculated its provisions in four days for those who ask.
[41:11] Then He turned to the heaven when it was still gas, then He said to it and to the earth, “Come both of you in willingness or unwillingness.” They both said, “We have come being willing.”
[41:12] Thus, He completed seven heavens in two days and inspired to each heaven its matters. And we have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps and guard. That is a design of the Almighty, the Knower.
- The Big Bang theory describes the creation of the universe from the expansion of a single entity, while it is discovered later the universe is going forward from that point as well, and God has created seven heavens and the same number of earth to flow His command among them:
[51:47] And the sky we have constructed it with our hands, and indeed, we are surely expanding.
[65:12] God is One who has created seven heavens and of the earth like of them. The command descends between of them that you may know that God has power over everything and that God certainly has encompassed everything within knowledge.
Conclusion
The review of 19 verses across 19 surahs of the Quran gives us the explicit proofs that God has created the heavens and the earth with the truth for an appointed term in six days that its end is coming a day to compensate us what we earned for ourselves, and there are signs in the creation of them while their expansion and the creation of seven heavens and equal number of earth conform to recent scientific discoveries. However, the age of the universe is 13.77 billion years and that of the earth is 4.5 billion years do not dispute being the creation of the universe in six days and the earth in 2 days as per God is concern rather may increase our belief in the divine message.
