The event of a day the world will come to an end
- When the Event has occurred (56:1). There has not been, for its occurrence, any denier (56:2). It is bringing down, raising up (56:3).
Note: The event what refers is a day when the world will come to an end and there is no denier of the occurrence, and the judgment will take place while some people will have higher position with God and some will have lower position with Him.
The earth will come to a destruction
- When the earth has been shaken with a severe shaking (56:4). And the mountains have been crumbled with a complete crumbling (56:5). Then they have become scattered dust (56:6).
Note: On a day of the event the earth has made a violent shaking and the mountains have crumbled into dust.
There will be three groups of people followed by the event
- And you have become three strata (56:7). Then the companions of the right — who are the companions of the right? (56:8). And the companions of the left – who are the companions of the left? (56:9). And the foremost—the foremost, (56:10). Those are the ones brought near (56:11).
Note: Followed by the event of the end of the world people will be grouped into three how they stand before God for judgment. Out of three (1) a company will be on the right side of God, 2) a company will be on the left side of Him and (3) a company will be nearest to Him.
Allegorical description of High Heaven
- In gardens of Bliss (56:12), A company from the former generations (56:13). And a few from the later generations (56:14). On decorated thrones (56:15), Reclining upon them, facing each other (56:16). There will wait upon them immortal waiters (56:17). With cups and jugs, and a glass from a flowing stream (56:18). They will not get a headache therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated (56:19). And fruit from whatever they choose (56:20). And meat of birds from whatever they desire (56:21). And spouses with beautiful, wide eyes (56:22). Like the likeness of well-protected pearls (56:23). As a recompense for what they have done (56:24). They will not hear any vain talk therein, nor any sinful uttering (56:25). Except a saying: “Peace, peace.” (56:26).
Note: A company who are nearest to God will be allowed to admit into the High Heaven having the best shelter, enjoyment and provision even though the bounties for dwellers of High Heaven have been mentioned in metaphor while the dwellers will be from all generations of people.
Allegorical description of Lower Heaven
- And the companions of the right—who are the companions of the right?(56:27). In thornless lote trees (56:28). And clustered banana trees (56:29). And an extended shade (56:30). And flowing water (56:31). And abundant fruit (56:32). Neither limited, nor forbidden (56:33). And raised couches (56:34). Indeed, we have creatIndeed, we have created them with a special creation (56:35). So we have made them virgins (56:36). Loving and well-matched (56:37). For the companions of the right side (56:38). A company from the former generations (56:39). And a company from the later generations (56:40).
Note: A company who are at right side of God will be allowed to admit into the Lower Heaven having good shelter, enjoyment and provision even though the bounties for dwellers of the Lower Heaven have been mentioned in metaphor while the dwellers will be from all generations of people.
Allegorical description of Hell
- And the companions of the left – who are the companions of the left (56:41). In a scorching hot fire and scalding water (56:42). And a shade of black smoke (56:43). Neither cool, nor pleasing (56:44). Indeed, they had been, before that, living in plenty (56:45). And they had been insisting on the great sin (56:46). And they had been saying, “When we have died and have become dust and bones, are we indeed surely to be raised up? (56:47). Or even our forefathers? (56:48). Say, “Indeed, the former and the later generations of people (56:49). Will surely be gathered for the appointed time of a known Day (56:50). Then indeed you, O those who are astray, the deniers (56:51), Will surely be eaters from a tree of Zaqqum (56:52). And will be fillers of the bellies therefrom,(56:53). And will be drinkers on top of it from the scalding water, (56:54). And will be drinkers like the drinking of thirsty camels (56:55). This is their hospitality on the Day of the Judgment (56:56).
Note: A company who are at left side of God will be dragged into Hell to suffer misery of the Hellfire having hot shelter, and scalding drink and bitter food as provision being the hospitality for the wicked, which has been mentioned in metaphor as well while the dwellers will be from all generations of people.
God has created us and has decreed death for us
- We have created you, so why have you not admitted the truth? (56:57). Have you then seen what you emit?(56:58). Are you the ones who create it, or are we the creators? (56:59). We have decreed death among you, and we are not to be escaped from.(56:60). Upon us to change your likeness and produce you in what you do not know (56:61). And certainly, you have known the first creation, so why do you not take heed?”(56:62).
Note: God has informed us that He has created us and has decreed death for us including our first creation and reproduction on the earth. This is the truth from Him that we should admit and take heed.
God has created what we need to support our life in the earth
- Have you then seen what you sow? (56:63). Are you the ones who grow it, or are we the growers?(56:64). If we willed, we surely could make it debris, then you would remain to wonder, (56:65), “Indeed, we are surely laden with debt (56:66). Nay, “we are deprived.” (56:67). Have you then seen the water which you drink? (56:68). Are you the ones who send it down from the clouds, or are we the senders?” (56:69). If we willed, we could have made it salty; why then are you not grateful? (56:70). Have you then seen the fire which you ignite? (56:71). Are you the ones who have produced its tree, or are we the producers? (56:72). We have made it a reminder, and a provision for the wayfarers in the desert (56:73). So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great (56:74).
Note: God has reminded with whatever He has given us from the sky and the earth to support our lives in the earth that we may reflect to that to glorify Him being our Great Lord.
An honorable Quran is a revelation from God
- So nay, I swear by the settings of the stars, (56:75). And indeed, it is surely a great oath, if you only knew (56:76). Indeed, it is surely an honorable Quran (56:77). In a protected scripture (56:78). None can grasp it except the sincere (56:79). A revelation from the Lord of the worlds (56:80). Then is it with this statement that you are indifferent? (56:81). And you make your business that you deny (56:82).
Note: By taking a great oath referring to the settings of the stars God has affirmed that He has made impossible for the insincere and the disbelievers to understand the honorable Quran from Him. Even this piece of information has a mathematical conformation being the sum of surah and the relevant verse numbers is a multiple of 19 => 684 (19x36) as detailed below:
Note: This mathematical confirmation is an explicit proof that God has made sincerity a requirement for the believers to understand the honorable Quran to be dwellers of any of the two Heavens while those who deny it will be dwellers of Hell.
Those who deny God’s revelation cannot be their own judge
- Why not then when it has reached the throat (56:83). And you are, at that time, looking around (56:84). And We are closer to him than you, but you do not see(56:85). Why not then, if you have been ones not to be judged (56:86). Bring it back, if you have been truthful? (56:87).
Note: Those who have denied God’s revelation do not think that they would not be their own judges as they cannot stop their death except looking around while they cannot bring back their souls when it has reached their throats. When they have no control on own their souls, then how they deny God and His revelations.
Precise reward and punishment on a day of Judgment
- Then as for him, if he has been from the nearest ones, (56:88), Then joy and bounty and a garden of Bliss (56:89). And as for him, if he has been from the companions of the right side, (56:90), then peace for you from the companions of the right side (56:91). And as for him, if he has been from the deniers, the strayers, (56:92), Then hospitality from scalding water, (56:93), and burning in Hellfire (56:94). Indeed, this is surely the absolute truth (56:95). So, glorify the name of your Lord, the Great (56:96).
Note: God has precisely determined joy and happiness as well as suffering and misery for the people according to their positions with Him on a Day of the Judgment followed by the event. Thus, all of us should glorify our Lord that we can secure higher position with Him.
Surah al-Waaqi`ah (The Event) can be reviewed reflecting that the event refers to the end of the world when the earth has violent shaking and the mountains have crumbled into dust, the precise judgment of God will take place being the people grouped into three groups for their judgment – the people who are close to God will be dwellers of High Heaven, and the people who are on His right will be dwellers of Lower Heaven, and the people who are on His left will be dwellers of Hell; the description of three places of return has been mentioned in metaphor while the physical distance of these three destinations will also be faraway – the High Heaven is close to God and the Lower Heaven is farther down from Him while Hell is farthest down from Him; God has created us and has decreed death for us while He has given us what we need to support our lives on earth that we may be grateful to Him, by taking a great oath He has affirmed that an honorable Quran from Him cannot understand anyone except the sincere, and losers are those who have made their business to deny it being indifferent to a great oath of God.
