[47:24] Why do they not study the Quran carefully? Do they have locks on their minds?
The expression, “Why do they not study the Quran carefully” is repeated twice in the Quran. The Arabic word, “yatadabbaruuna” (3rd person plural verb) translated to “they study carefully” in the phrase has also other meanings such as “they ponder”, “they examine”, “they review”, “they think over” to do something with care. The message that we can also derive from the phrase itself is just know the language, is not enough to understand the Quran, and it does not matter which language we use to read the Quran. The 2nd part after the first occurrence of this expression tells us that the Quran is from God while the 2nd part after the 2nd occurrence of this expression tells us that those who read the Quran but divinely blocked cannot understand it when studied.
God has not only told us to read the Quran carefully and thoroughly (73:4) but He has also specified the best time for us to read it regularly to know His teachings, rules and laws (17:78, 29:45, 73:20) as the knowledge is required for us to lead a righteous life. Those who are blessed by God to read the Quran over and over would realize that we can read the Quran an infinite number of times without being bored, and can derive new and valuable information from it every time we read it. Hence, the Quran is the hidden treasure that has the answers of all the questions that we have but we have to study it being sincere (56:79), i.e., the source of answer for every question we raise is the Quran itself. However, we would make efforts to review the verses of Quran for getting the crucial answer from it to confirm whether we should follow hadith/sunnah attributed to the prophet for the preparation of our spiritual life as we see the vast majority of traditional Muslims does so expecting their successful return to God.
Collection of Hadith/Sunnah
Hadith is claimed as the statements (sayings) of Prophet Muhammad while sunnah is claimed as the acts (deeds) of him that were collected after about 200 years of the death of the prophet. The people whose names came as ultimate references as Hadith/Sunnah narrators being companions (Sahabi in Arabic) of the prophet were not alive during the collection process, even though some of them were children at that time. It is noteworthy that Hadith books are named according to their collectors.

b. Number of Hadiths
The number of hadiths collected and attributed to the prophet Muhammed is in the hundreds of thousands, as much as 700,000. As much as 99% of all these hundreds of thousands hadiths are pure lies and fabrications, and were rejected by the early Muslim scholars who thought that they cannot figure out which hadith is authentic and which one is not.Let us look at the number of hadiths collected from the famous prophet’s companions (Sahabiin Arabicplural of sahaba):
1. Abu Hurayra – 5374
4. ‘Aysha Umm al-Mu’minin – 2210
10. Umar Ibn al-Khattab – 537
11. Ali Ibn Abi Talib – 536
31. Abu Bakr al-Siddiq–142
Source: Hadith Literature: It’s Origin, Development, & Special Features by Muhammed Zubayr Siddiqui:
Is it not surprising by comparing the numbers of Hadiths given by Abu Baker by that of Abu Hurayra while keeping in mind that Abu Baker accompanied the Prophet for about 23 years, while Abu Hurayra accompanied the Prophet for less than 2 years?
Hadith/Sunnah in view of Quran
The historical evidences and incidents as found in various documents indicate that hadiths are fabrications and 99% of them are just pure lies. However, hadith/sunnah claimed as prophet’s sayings and deeds are reviewed in view of Quran to confirm whether we should accept or reject them as our religious teachings.
- The Quran proclaims that the Quran is the only acceptable Hadith
The Quran has been referred to be the best Hadith, a book which is consistent and shows us both ways. Those who reject this will be led them on without perceiving. Thus we do not any hadith other than the Quran.
[7:185] Have they not looked at the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all the things God has created? Does it ever occur to them that the end of their life may be near? Which hadith, besides this do they believe in?
[39:23] God has revealed a scripture of the best Hadith being consistent to each other. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it (Quran), then their skins and their hearts soften up for God’s message. That is God’s guidance; He guides with it whomever He wills, and whomever God lets go astray, then there is no guide for him.
[45:6] These are God’s revelations that we recite to you truthfully. In which hadith other than God and His revelations do they believe?
[52:34] Let them produce a hadith like this if they are truthful.
[68:44] Therefore, let Me deal with those who reject this Hadith; we will lead them on whence they never perceive.”
[77:50] Which Hadith other than this do they uphold?
- The Quran confirms that the Sunnah as stated in the Quran is only acceptable Sunnah
God assures us over and over that the only Sunnah we must follow is God’s Sunnah (15:13, 17:77-twice, 33:38, 33:62-twice, 35:43-twice, 40:85, 48:23-twice). Any other Sunnah mentioned in the Quran, are referring to the Sunnah or the system of other entities and these verses teach us how we must reflect and note the bad consequences we face when we follow such man-made Sunnah!! (8:38, 18:55, and 35:43):
[17:77] This has been consistently the case with all the messengers that we sent before you, and you will find that our system (Sunnah) never changes.
[33:62] This is God’s eternal system (Sunnah), and you will find that God’s system (Sunnah) is unchangeable.”
[48:23] Such is God’s system (Sunnah) throughout history, and you will find that God’s system (Sunnah) is unchangeable.
- The Quran clearly states that fancy words (hadith/sunnah) are creation of the prophet’s enemies.
Most Muslims fail to understand the fact that the Hadith and Sunnah DID NOT come out of the prophet’s mouth. Hadith and Sunnah are fabrications created by simple minded individuals and the enemies of the prophet, who created stories (fabrications) which allege something took place two hundred years prior to that time.
[6:112] We have permitted the enemies of every prophet – human and jinn devils – to inspire in each other fancy words, in order to deceive. Had your Lord willed, they would not have done it. You shall disregard them and their fabrications.
- The Quran confirms that Hadith/Sunnah are a test for Muslims while Trinity for the Christians and Mishnah/Gemarrah for the Jews.
The fabrications (hadith/sunnah) attributed to the prophet are a test for those who claim to be believers. The worshippers of God alone will discard them while those who do not believe in the Hereafter will accept them. The history also indicates that the same test was also given to the Christians allowing them to produce Trinity besides Injeel and to the Jews permitting them to fabricate Mishnah/Gemarrah besides Torah.
[6:113] This is to let the minds of those who do not believe in the Hereafter listen to such fabrications, and accept them, and thus expose their real convictions.
- There are people who uphold baseless Hadith and also divert others from the path of God without knowledge
Traditional Muslim scholars and their puppets not only espouse such fancy words (hadith/sunnah) but also warn their followers that they will be deprived of prophet’s intercession to help them enter Paradise on the Day of Judgment if they fail to uphold these Islamic teachings. Thus, they themselves are not only misguided but also misguide others.
[31:6] Among the people, there are those who uphold baseless Hadith, and thus divert others from the path of God without knowledge, and take it in vain. These have incurred a shameful retribution
[9:31] They have taken their rabbis and their monks to be lords besides God, and the Messiah son of Mary, while they were commanded to worship but one god; there is no god except He. Glory be to Him from what they associate.
- Prophet Muhammad never explained the Quran through any type of “Hadith” or “Sunnah” as claimed by many mullas.
God teaches us that prophet Muhammad never explained the Quran through any type of “Hadith” or “Sunnah” (75:16-19) as claimed by the vast majority of Muslims. He was commanded NOT to explain the Quran, and he followed that divine command (68:1-4).
[75:16] Do not move your tongue to hasten it.
[75:17] It is we who will collect it into Quran.
[75:18] Once we recite it, you shall follow such a Quran.
[75:19] Then it is we who will explain it.
[68:1] (By) NuN and the pen and what they write.
[68:2] You are not, by the grace of your Lord, crazy.
[68:3] And indeed, you deserve limitless reward.
[68:4] And indeed, you possess a good moral character.
Conclusion
Quran being God’s message to all the people (38:87, 68:52, 81:27), is accessible to the believers, regardless of their language (41:44). This phenomenon explains that the believers who do not know Arabic may know the Quran better than the Arabic speaking unbelievers as the invisible forces serve the Quran. Therefore, it is readily and enjoyably accessible to the sincere believers (56:79) while utterly inaccessible to the unbelievers (17:45, 18:57). However, the understanding of Quran is a special gift from God, which is based on our individual growth and with time and experience.
The words, ‘Hadeeth’ & ‘Sunnah’ are in the Quran, which refer to God’s Hadith and God’s Sunnah. There is no such thing as prophet Muhammad’s Hadith or prophet Muhammad’s Sunnah although some Muslim scholars claim that the Quran also support such thing referring to the verse (7:157). The prophet’s hadith/sunnah as claimed are fabrications attributed to the prophet by his enemies, and the same had been done in the past in case of the previous prophets as well. The Quran condemns the so called hadith by name in the Quran, and informs us that it is a blasphemous fabrication (45:6-7). But it is a tragedy that most Muslims fail to realize that following words other than that of God is defined in the Quran as idolatry (6:19) and that is why following any book but the Quran is Idol-worship. That is why the majority of those who believe in God will go to Hell because they committed idol-worship while believing in God (12:106).
It is God’s mercy that He wants us to follow only what He specified in His revelations (18:109, 31:27), and use our common sense, knowledge and wisdom for the rest of the details of life. However, people insist on making their lives miserable as their so-called religious leaders and “learned” scholars shackle them with satanic teachings and innovations.
Peaceful Friday, salaam and God bless.
