- 1. Idris has been mentioned 2 times by name in the Quran in 2 verses in 2 surahs, who has been raised to a high position (19:57):
[19:56] And recall in the scripture Idris. Indeed, he has been a saint, a prophet.
[21:85] And Ismail, and Idris, and Dhul-Kifl; all were among the patient ones.
- 2. Noah has been mentioned 43 times by name spelled out in 2 forms in the Quran found in 43 verses across 28 surahs, who lived 950 years being saved from the great disaster along with his family of believers except his son and his wife who were among the disbelievers.
[3:33] Indeed, God has chosen Adam, and Noah, and family of Abraham, and family of Amran among the people of the world.
[4:163] Indeed, we have inspired to you (Muhammad) as we had inspired to Noah, and the prophets after of him. And we had inspired to Abraham, and Ismail, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and Jesus, and Job, and Jonah, and Aaron, and Solomon. And we had given David Psalms.
[6:84] And we granted to him (Abraham) Isaac and Jacob – all we had guided. And Noah we had guided before of (them), and of his descendants: David, and Solomon, and Job, and Joseph, and Moses, and Aaron. And thus that we reward the gooddoers.
[7:59] Certainly, we had sent Noah to his people, then he said, “O my people, you shall worship God; there is no god for you other than Him. Indeed, I fear on you a punishment of a great Day.”
[7:69] And have you wondered that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from you that he may warn you? And you shall remember when He has made you successors after a people of Noah, and has increased you in a number of the creation. So, you shall remember blessings of God so that you may succeed.”
[9:70] Does not come to them a news of those who were before of them a people of Noah, and Aad, and Thamud, and a people of Abraham, and dwellers of Madyan, and the overturned towns? There had come to them their messengers with the clear proofs. Then it had not been God that He would wrong them but they had done to wrong to themselves.
[10:71] And you shall recite to them a news of Noah when he had said to his people, “O my people, if it has made hard for you my presence and my reminder with revelations of God, then upon God I put trust. So you shall gather your plan and your partners, then there would not be any doubt for you in your plan, then you shall carry upon me and you do not give me respite.
[11:25] And certainly, we had sent Noah to his people, “Indeed, I am to you a clear warner.”
[11:32] They said, “O Noah; certainly, you have disputed with us that you have been frequent in our dispute. So bring us with what you threaten us, if you have been one of the truthful ones.”

[11:46] He said, “O Noah; indeed, he has not been of your family; indeed, he has deed other than a righteous; so do not ask Me what has not been for you any knowledge of it. Indeed, I admonish you, lest you would be with the ignorant.”
[11:48] It has been said: “O Noah; descend with peace from us and blessings upon you and upon nations from whoever with yourself. And nations we will grant them enjoyment, then a painful punishment will touch them from us.”
[11:89] And O my (Shuaib) people, let not my dissension commit you sin lest there befalls you like what had befallen a people of Noah, or a people of Hud, or a people of Saleh, nor a people of Lot, is far off from you.
[14:9] Does not come to you a news of those who were before of you – a people of Noah, and Aad, and Thamud, and those who were after of them? None knows them except God. There had come to them their messengers with the clear proofs, then they had turned back having their hands in their mouth and said, “Indeed, we have disbelieved in what you have been sent with it, and indeed, we are surely in doubt about what you invite us to it being distrustful.”

[40:31] Like a plight of a people of Noah, and Aad, and Thamud, and those after of them. And God does not wish injustice for the servants.
[42:13] He has decreed for you of the religion what He had enjoined Noah with it, and which we have inspired to you (Muhammad), and what we had enjoined Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus of it that you shall establish the religion and not dividing in it. It has been difficult for the idolaters which you (Muhammad) call them to it. God chooses to Himself whomever He wills and He guides to Himself whoever turns (to Him).
