There are total 88 occurrences of مَلَكًا (malakan) meaning angel and مَلٰئِكَةً (malaa’i-katan) meaning angels as noun form in 86 verses of the Quran across 37 suras. However, here are the details of the verses where these instances are found to understand the role of angels being the soldiers of God and their relationship with us:
[2:30] And when your Lord said to the angels (lilmalaa’ikati), “Indeed, I am going to place a representative in the earth,” they said, “Will You place in it one who will spread corruption in it and shed blood, while we glorify You with Your praises, and we sanctify You?” He said, “Indeed, I know what you do not know.”
[2:31] And He taught Adam all the names, then He presented them to the angels (al-malaa’ikati) and He said: “Inform Me of the names of these if you are truthful.”
[2:34] When we said to the angels (lilmalaa’ikati): “Fall prostrate before Adam,” then they fell prostrate, except Satan; he refused, and was arrogant and became the disbeliever.
[2:98] Whoever is an enemy to God, and His angels (wal-malaa’ikatihi), and His messengers, and Gabriel and Michael, then indeed, God is an enemy to the disbelievers.
[2:102] And they (the followers of Torah) followed what the devils recited at the time of kingship of Solomon. Solomon did not disbelieve, but the devils disbelieved by teaching the people the magic, and what was sent down in Babylon through the two angels (al-malakayni), Haroot and Maroot. And they (two angels) did not teach anyone rather they would say: “We are only for a test, so do not disbelieve.” But they learn from these two (angels) what causes a separation between a man and his spouse with it; but they cannot harm anyone except by God’s permission. And they learn what harms them and does not benefit them, and indeed, they knew that whoever purchases it has no share for him in the Hereafter. And it is surely evil what they sold with it for themselves, if they knew.
[2:161] Surely, those who have disbelieved and died while they were disbelievers, there will be curse upon those of them from God, and the angels (wal-malaa’ikati), and the people all.
[2:177] It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the east and the west, but the righteous is one who believes in God and the Last Day, and the angels (wal-malaa’ikati), and the scripture, and the prophets, and he gives money out of his love to the near relatives, and the orphans, and the needy and the wayfarer, and those who ask, and in freeing the slaves, and he observes the contact prayer, and gives to the obligatory charity; and those who keep their pledges when they make a pledge, and those who are patient in distress and hardship, and at time of stress. Those are the ones who are the truthful, and those are the true righteous.
[2:210] Are they waiting until God to come to them in shadows of the clouds and (all) the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) while the matter is predetermined? And to God all the matters are to be returned.
[2:248] And their prophet said to them: “Indeed, a sign of his kingship is that the ark will come to you in which there is a tranquility from your Lord and the legacy of what was left behind by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron being carried by the angels (al-malaa’ikatu). Indeed, in that there is, of course a sign for you if you are believers.”
[2:285] The messenger believes in what was sent down to him from his Lord. And the believers, all who believe in God, and His angles (wa-malaa’ikatihi), and His scriptures, and His messengers; we do not make a distinction between any of His messengers; and they said: “We hear and obey, forgive us our Lord, and to You is our destiny.”
[3:18] God has borne witness that there is no god except He, and (so has done) the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) and the knowledgeable established with the justice (wa-uloo al-`ilmi qaa’iman bil-qis’ti). There is no god except He, the Almighty, the Most Wise.
[3:39] The angels (al-malaa’ikatu) called him when he was praying in the prayer house: “God gives you good news of John confirming with a word of God, an honorable, honest, and a prophet from the righteous.”
[3:42] And when the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) said: “O Mary, God has chosen you and purified you, and He has chosen you over the women of the universe.”
[3:45] When the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) said: “O Mary, God gives good news of a word from Him whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary honorable in the world and in the Hereafter, and of those who are brought near.”
[3:80] And nor would he order you that you should take the angels (al-malaa’ikata): and the prophets as lords. Would he order you to the disbelief after when you have become submitters?
[3:87] Their recompense of those (the wicked) on them is curse of God and the angels (al-malaa’ikati) and the people all.
[3:124] When you (Muhammad) said to the believers: “Is it not enough for you that God reinforces you with three thousand of the angels (al-malaa’ikati) sent down?”
[3:125] Indeed, if you are patient and are righteous, and they attack you suddenly, He will reinforce you with five thousand of the trained angels (al-malaa’ikati).
[4:97] Indeed, those whom the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) take them in death, while they had wronged their souls; they said: “What were you in?” They said: “We were oppressed in the earth.” They said: “Was God’s earth not spacious (enough) that you could emigrate in it?” So their abode of those is Hell; and what a miserable destiny!
[4:136] O you who believed, you shall believe in God and His messenger, and the scripture which He revealed to His messenger, and the scripture which He revealed before. And whoever disbelieves in God, and His angels (malaa’ikatihi), and His scriptures, and His messengers, and the Last Day; then indeed, he has strayed far astray.
[4:166] But God bears witness of what He has revealed to you (Muhammad). He has revealed it with His knowledge, and the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) bear witness; and God is enough as a witness.
[4:172] The Messiah was never disdain to be a servant to God, nor are the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) who are near to Him. Whoever disdains from His worship and is arrogant, then He will gather them to Him all together.
[6:8] And they said, “Why has not been sent down an angel (malakun) with him (Muhammad)?” And if we had sent down an angel (malakan), the matter would have been resolved, then they would not have been respited.
[6:9] And if we had made him (Muhammad) an angel (malakan), certainly, we would have made him (to appear) as a man, and certainly, we would have confused them in what they are confused.
[6:50] Say, “I (Muhammad) do not say to you that I possess the treasures of God nor do I know the unseen nor do I say to you that I am an angel (malakun). I do not follow except what is revealed to me.” Say, “Can the blind and the seer be equal? Do you not think?”
[6:93] And who is more wicked than one who invents a lie about God, or said: “It has been inspired to me,” while it was not inspired anything to him; and who said: “I will bring down the same as what God has sent down.” And if you could only see agonies of the wicked at the moments of death when the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) have their arms opened: “Bring yourselves out, today you will be given the severest punishment for what you used to say about God without the truth, and you were arrogant towards His revelations.”
[6:111] And if we had sent down the angels (al-malaa’ikata) to them, and the dead spoke to them, and we had gathered everything before them, they would not believe except that God wills. But most of them are ignorant.
[6:158] Are they waiting until that the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) come to them, or your Lord comes, or some signs of your Lord come? The day the signs of your Lord come, it will not profit a soul to its faith, if it had not believed before, or earned any good through its faith. Say, “Wait, we are also waiting.”
[7:11] And certainly, we created you, then we shaped you, then we said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “Fall prostrate before Adam.” Then they fell prostrate except Satan; he was not with those who prostrated.
[7:20] Then the devil whispered to them to reveal what was concealed from them of their shame. And he said, “Your Lord did not forbid you from this tree, except that you become angels (malakayni) or you become immortals.”
[8:9] When you asked help from your Lord, then He responded to you: “I am going to reinforce you with a thousand of angels (al-malaa’ikati) in succession.”
[8:12] When your (Muhammad) Lord inspired to the angels (al-malaa’ikati): “I am with you so strengthen those who believed. I will cast the terror into the hearts of those who disbelieved; so strike above the necks, and strike from them every finger.”
[8:50] And if you could see when the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) take in death of those who disbelieved striking their faces and their backs, and (saying:) “Taste the retribution of the blazing Fire.”
[11:12] So you (Muhammad) may wish to ignore a part of what has been revealed to you, and you are depressed by it, because they say: “Why not a treasure is sent down with him, or an angel (malakun) has come with him?” You are only a warner, and God is an Advocate over everything.
[11:31] “And I (Muhammad) do not say to you that I have the treasures of God, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I say that I am an angel (malakun), nor do I say to those whom your eyes look down upon that God will not give them any good. God knows best what is in their souls. Indeed, I then will surely, be among the wicked.”
[12:31] So when she heard of their gossiping, she sent for them and prepared a banquet for them, and she gave each one of them a knife. And she said: “Come out to them,” so when they saw him (Yousuf), they admired him and cut their hands, and they said: “Glory be to God, this is not a human, but an honorable angel!”
[13:13] And glorifies the thunder with His praise and the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) for fear of Him, and He sends the lightning and strikes with it whomever He wills. Yet they dispute about God, while He is the most powerful.
[13:23] Gardens of Eden, they will enter them and whoever is righteous among their parents and their spouses and their children. And the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) will enter to them from every gate.
[15:7] “Why do you (Muhammad) not bring down the angels (bil-malaa’ikati) to us, if you are truthful?”
[15:8] We do not send down the angels (al-malaa’ikata) except with the phenomenon, and then they would not be given a delay.
[15:28] And when your Lord said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “I am creating a human from clay of altered black mud.
[15:30] So the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) all of them together fell prostrate.
[16:2] He sends down the angels (al-malaa’ikata) with the Spirit (Gabriel) of His commands, to whomever He chooses from among His servants that you shall warn that there is no other god beside Me. Therefore, you shall reverence Me.
[16:28] Those whom the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) take them in death while they are doing wrong to themselves, but they would say: “Peace, we are not doing any evil.” Yes indeed, God is aware of what you used to do.
[16:32] Those whom the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) take them in death while they are righteous, they (angels) will say: “Peace be upon you, enter Paradise because of what you used to do.”
[16:33] Are they waiting until that the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) come to them, or a command from your Lord? Thus did those who were before them. And God did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves.
[16:49] And to God prostrate whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth of the creatures and the angels (al-malaa’ikatu), and they are not arrogant.
[17:40] Has then your Lord chosen for you sons, while He has taken daughters from the angles (al-malaa’ikati)? Indeed, you are definitely saying a grievous word!
[17:61] When we said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “Fall prostrate before Adam,” so they fell prostrate, except Satan. He (Satan) said, “Shall I prostrate to one You created from clay?”
[17:92] “Or you cause the sky fall upon us in pieces as you claimed, or you bring God and the angels (al-malaa’ikati) before (us).”
[17:95] Say: “If it had been angels (malaa’ikatun) walking secure in the earth; surely, we would have sent down to them an angel (malakan) messenger from the heaven.”
[18:50] And when we said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “Fall prostrate before Adam.” So they fell prostrate except Satan. He became a jinn. Thus, he disobeyed the order of His Lord. Will you then take him and his descendants as protectors other than Me, while they are enemies to you? What is a miserable substitute for the wicked!
[20:116] And when we said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “Fall prostrate before Adam.” So they fell prostrate, except Satan; he refused.
[21:103] The greatest horror will not grieve them, and the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) will receive them: “This is your day, which you were promised.”
[22:75] God chooses messengers from the angels (al-malaa’ikati) and from humans. Surely, God is Hearer, Seer.
[23:24] Then the leaders of those who disbelieved among his people said: “This is not but a human like you, he wants to make superior over you. And if God had willed, surely, He would have sent down angels (malaa’ikatan). We have not heard of this from our forefathers.”
[25:7] And they said: “Why does this messenger eat the food and walk in the markets? If an angel (malakun) is sent down to him, then he could be with him a warner.”
[25:21] And those who do not expect meeting us said: “Why not the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) are sent down to us, or we see our Lord?” Surely, they become arrogant in themselves and possess a great insolence.
[25:22] The day they see the angels (al-malaa’ikata) will not be good news for the guilty, and they will say: “There is a forbidden barrier.”
[25:25] And the day when the heaven will burst asunder with the clouds, and the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) will be sent down gradually.
[32:11] Say: “The angel (malaku) of the death who has been placed in charge of you will take you in death, then you will be returned to your Lord.”
[33:43] He is the One who supports you (yusalli `alaykum) and His angels (wa-malaa’ikatuhu) that He may bring you out of the darkness to the light, and He is Merciful on the believers.
[33:56] Indeed, God and His angels (wa-malaa’ikatahu) support the prophet (yusalloona `alaa al-nabiyi). O you who believed, you shall support him (salloo `alayhi), and regard him as he should be regarded.
Note: This verse has been the root of idolizing Prophet Muhammad through misinterpretation of the Arabic word, “Salloo” to ‘send blessings’ for the prophet instead of ‘help’ or ‘support’ the prophet. God and His angels supported him as both physical and financial support was required for him in spreading of His message and to practice His religion freely. Hence, it was the order from Him for the contemporary believers to help and support the prophet at his lifetime. It has also been confirmed from the word “prophet” (Nabi) consistently referring to Muhammad in the Quran only when he was alive NOT after his death, being the order for the contemporary believers from God.
It is also noteworthy that there is also explicit proof from 12 verses (33:44 – 55) between the verse 33:43 where the word “Salloo” is used in reference to the support of the believers by God and His angels, and the verse 33:56 where the same word is used in reference to the support of the prophet by God, His angels and his contemporary believers to avoid the misinterpretation of the word as detailed in the table below and we have to wait 14 century to have this confirmation:
Note: This mathematical confirmation may provide a physical proof to have a clear understanding of the root of idolizing prophet Muhammad to avoid centuries-long idol worshiping.
[34:40] And the day when He gathers them all, He will say to the angels (lilmalaa’ikati): “Were these you that they used to worship?”
[35:1] Praise be to God, Initiator of the heavens and the earth; Who makes the angels (al-malaa’ikati) messengers having wings of two, and three, and four. He increases in the creation as He wills. Indeed, God is powerful over all things.
[37:150] Or did we create the angels (al-malaa’ikata) as females and they were witnesses?
[38:71 When your Lord said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “I am creating a human from clay.
[38:73] So the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) all of them together fell prostrate.
[39:75] And you will see the angels (al-malaa’ikata) surrounding the Throne, glorifying with praise of their Lord. And it will be judged between them with the truth, and it will be said: “Praise be to God, Lord of the universe.”
[41:14] When the messengers came to them from among them and from before them (saying:) “You shall not worship except God.” They said: “If our Lord willed, surely, He would have sent down angels (malaa’ikatan). So indeed, we are disbelievers in what you have been sent with.”
[41:30] Surely, those who say: “Our Lord is God”, then remain steadfast, the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) will descend upon them (saying:) “You shall not fear, nor shall you grieve but have good news of Paradise which you have been promised.”
[42:5] The heavens nearly shatter from above them, and the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) glorify with praise of their Lord, and ask forgiveness for those in the earth. Surely, God is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
[43:19] And they made the angels (al-malaa’ikata) females, who are servants of the Most Gracious. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded and they will be questioned.
[43:53] “Then why are not placed bracelets of gold on him or the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) come accompanying with him?”
[43:60] And if we willed, surely, we could have made angels (al-malaa’ikatu) among you in the earth succeeding.
[47:27] Then how will it be when the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) take them in death, striking their faces and their backs?
[53:26] And how many an angel (malakin) are in the heavens, their intercession of anything will not avail, except after God gives permission for whom He wishes and approves.
[53:27] Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter, surely, they name the angels (al-malaa’ikata) feminine names.
[66:4] If the two of you (two wives of the prophet) repent to God, then your hearts have listened. But if you (both) band together against him, then God is his Protector, and Gabriel and the righteous believers and the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) are also his helpers.
[66:6] O you who believed, protect yourselves and your families from Fire whose fuel is people and rocks. Around it there are stern and powerful angels (malaa’ikatun) who do not disobey God what He commands them and they do whatever they are commanded to do.
[69:17] And the angels (wal-malaku) will be around it, and eight will bear your Lord’s Throne that day.
[70:4] The angels (al-malaa’ikatu) and the Spirit (Gabriel) ascent to Him in a day that measures to fifty thousand years.
[74:31] And we made the angels (al-malaa’ikatan) to be guardians of Hell, and we did not make their number except a warning for those who disbelieved that may make certain those who were given the scripture (Jews and Christians) and may increase those who believed in faith (Muslims), and may not doubt those who were given the scripture (Jews and Christians) and the believers (Muslims). And that may say those in their hearts there is a disease (hypocrites) and the disbelievers, “What did God mean by this allegory?” Thus, God misguides whomever He wills and He guides whomever He wills. And none knows your Lord’s soldiers except He. And it is not except a reminder for the humans
[78:38] The day, the Spirit (Gabriel) and the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) will stand in a row, they shall not speak except him whom the Most Gracious has permitted, and he will say what is right.
[89:22] And your Lord comes and the angels (wal-malaku) in row after row.
[97:4] The angels (al-malaa’ikatu) and the Spirit (Gabriel) descend therein by their Lord’s permission with every command.

[8:50] And if you could see when the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) take in death of those who disbelieved striking their faces and their backs, and (saying:) “Taste the retribution of the blazing Fire.”
[11:12] So you (Muhammad) may wish to ignore a part of what has been revealed to you, and you are depressed by it, because they say: “Why not a treasure is sent down with him, or an angel (malakun) has come with him?” You are only a warner, and God is an Advocate over everything.
[11:31] “And I (Muhammad) do not say to you that I have the treasures of God, nor do I know the unseen, nor do I say that I am an angel (malakun), nor do I say to those whom your eyes look down upon that God will not give them any good. God knows best what is in their souls. Indeed, I then will surely, be among the wicked.”
[12:31] So when she heard of their gossiping, she sent for them and prepared a banquet for them, and she gave each one of them a knife. And she said: “Come out to them,” so when they saw him (Yousuf), they admired him and cut their hands, and they said: “Glory be to God, this is not a human, but an honorable angel!”
[13:13] And glorifies the thunder with His praise and the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) for fear of Him, and He sends the lightning and strikes with it whomever He wills. Yet they dispute about God, while He is the most powerful.
[13:23] Gardens of Eden, they will enter them and whoever is righteous among their parents and their spouses and their children. And the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) will enter to them from every gate.
[15:7] “Why do you (Muhammad) not bring down the angels (bil-malaa’ikati) to us, if you are truthful?”
[15:8] We do not send down the angels (al-malaa’ikata) except with the phenomenon, and then they would not be given a delay.
[15:28] And when your Lord said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “I am creating a human from clay of altered black mud.
[15:30] So the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) all of them together fell prostrate.
[16:2] He sends down the angels (al-malaa’ikata) with the Spirit (Gabriel) of His commands, to whomever He chooses from among His servants that you shall warn that there is no other god beside Me. Therefore, you shall reverence Me.
[16:28] Those whom the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) take them in death while they are doing wrong to themselves, but they would say: “Peace, we are not doing any evil.” Yes indeed, God is aware of what you used to do.
[16:32] Those whom the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) take them in death while they are righteous, they (angels) will say: “Peace be upon you, enter Paradise because of what you used to do.”
[16:33] Are they waiting until that the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) come to them, or a command from your Lord? Thus did those who were before them. And God did not wrong them, but they wronged themselves.
[16:49] And to God prostrate whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth of the creatures and the angels (al-malaa’ikatu), and they are not arrogant.
[17:40] Has then your Lord chosen for you sons, while He has taken daughters from the angles (al-malaa’ikati)? Indeed, you are definitely saying a grievous word!
[17:61] When we said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “Fall prostrate before Adam,” so they fell prostrate, except Satan. He (Satan) said, “Shall I prostrate to one You created from clay?”
[17:92] “Or you cause the sky fall upon us in pieces as you claimed, or you bring God and the angels (al-malaa’ikati) before (us).”
[17:95] Say: “If it had been angels (malaa’ikatun) walking secure in the earth; surely, we would have sent down to them an angel (malakan) messenger from the heaven.”
[18:50] And when we said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “Fall prostrate before Adam.” So they fell prostrate except Satan. He became a jinn. Thus, he disobeyed the order of His Lord. Will you then take him and his descendants as protectors other than Me, while they are enemies to you? What is a miserable substitute for the wicked!
[20:116] And when we said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “Fall prostrate before Adam.” So they fell prostrate, except Satan; he refused.
[21:103] The greatest horror will not grieve them, and the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) will receive them: “This is your day, which you were promised.”
[22:75] God chooses messengers from the angels (al-malaa’ikati) and from humans. Surely, God is Hearer, Seer.
[23:24] Then the leaders of those who disbelieved among his people said: “This is not but a human like you, he wants to make superior over you. And if God had willed, surely, He would have sent down angels (malaa’ikatan). We have not heard of this from our forefathers.”
[25:7] And they said: “Why does this messenger eat the food and walk in the markets? If an angel (malakun) is sent down to him, then he could be with him a warner.”
[25:21] And those who do not expect meeting us said: “Why not the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) are sent down to us, or we see our Lord?” Surely, they become arrogant in themselves and possess a great insolence.
[25:22] The day they see the angels (al-malaa’ikata) will not be good news for the guilty, and they will say: “There is a forbidden barrier.”
[25:25] And the day when the heaven will burst asunder with the clouds, and the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) will be sent down gradually.
[32:11] Say: “The angel (malaku) of the death who has been placed in charge of you will take you in death, then you will be returned to your Lord.”
[33:43] He is the One who supports you (yusalli `alaykum) and His angels (wa-malaa’ikatuhu) that He may bring you out of the darkness to the light, and He is Merciful on the believers.
[33:56] Indeed, God and His angels (wa-malaa’ikatahu) support the prophet (yusalloona `alaa al-nabiyi). O you who believed, you shall support him (salloo `alayhi), and regard him as he should be regarded.
Note: This verse has been the root of idolizing Prophet Muhammad through misinterpretation of the Arabic word, “Salloo” to ‘send blessings’ for the prophet instead of ‘help’ or ‘support’ the prophet. God and His angels supported him as both physical and financial support was required for him in spreading of His message and to practice His religion freely. Hence, it was the order from Him for the contemporary believers to help and support the prophet at his lifetime. It has also been confirmed from the word “prophet” (Nabi) consistently referring to Muhammad in the Quran only when he was alive NOT after his death, being the order for the contemporary believers from God.
It is also noteworthy that there is also explicit proof from 12 verses (33:44 – 55) between the verse 33:43 where the word “Salloo” is used in reference to the support of the believers by God and His angels, and the verse 33:56 where the same word is used in reference to the support of the prophet by God, His angels and his contemporary believers to avoid the misinterpretation of the word as detailed in the table below and we have to wait 14 century to have this confirmation:
Note: This mathematical confirmation may provide a physical proof to have a clear understanding of the root of idolizing prophet Muhammad to avoid centuries-long idol worshiping.[34:40] And the day when He gathers them all, He will say to the angels (lilmalaa’ikati): “Were these you that they used to worship?”
[35:1] Praise be to God, Initiator of the heavens and the earth; Who makes the angels (al-malaa’ikati) messengers having wings of two, and three, and four. He increases in the creation as He wills. Indeed, God is powerful over all things.
[37:150] Or did we create the angels (al-malaa’ikata) as females and they were witnesses?
[38:71 When your Lord said to the angels (lil’malaa’ikati): “I am creating a human from clay.
[38:73] So the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) all of them together fell prostrate.
[39:75] And you will see the angels (al-malaa’ikata) surrounding the Throne, glorifying with praise of their Lord. And it will be judged between them with the truth, and it will be said: “Praise be to God, Lord of the universe.”
[41:14] When the messengers came to them from among them and from before them (saying:) “You shall not worship except God.” They said: “If our Lord willed, surely, He would have sent down angels (malaa’ikatan). So indeed, we are disbelievers in what you have been sent with.”
[41:30] Surely, those who say: “Our Lord is God”, then remain steadfast, the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) will descend upon them (saying:) “You shall not fear, nor shall you grieve but have good news of Paradise which you have been promised.”
[42:5] The heavens nearly shatter from above them, and the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) glorify with praise of their Lord, and ask forgiveness for those in the earth. Surely, God is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful.
[43:19] And they made the angels (al-malaa’ikata) females, who are servants of the Most Gracious. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded and they will be questioned.
[43:53] “Then why are not placed bracelets of gold on him or the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) come accompanying with him?”
[43:60] And if we willed, surely, we could have made angels (al-malaa’ikatu) among you in the earth succeeding.
[47:27] Then how will it be when the angels (al-malaa’ikatu) take them in death, striking their faces and their backs?
[53:26] And how many an angel (malakin) are in the heavens, their intercession of anything will not avail, except after God gives permission for whom He wishes and approves.
[53:27] Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter, surely, they name the angels (al-malaa’ikata) feminine names.
[66:4] If the two of you (two wives of the prophet) repent to God, then your hearts have listened. But if you (both) band together against him, then God is his Protector, and Gabriel and the righteous believers and the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) are also his helpers.
[66:6] O you who believed, protect yourselves and your families from Fire whose fuel is people and rocks. Around it there are stern and powerful angels (malaa’ikatun) who do not disobey God what He commands them and they do whatever they are commanded to do.
[69:17] And the angels (wal-malaku) will be around it, and eight will bear your Lord’s Throne that day.
[70:4] The angels (al-malaa’ikatu) and the Spirit (Gabriel) ascent to Him in a day that measures to fifty thousand years.
[74:31] And we made the angels (al-malaa’ikatan) to be guardians of Hell, and we did not make their number except a warning for those who disbelieved that may make certain those who were given the scripture (Jews and Christians) and may increase those who believed in faith (Muslims), and may not doubt those who were given the scripture (Jews and Christians) and the believers (Muslims). And that may say those in their hearts there is a disease (hypocrites) and the disbelievers, “What did God mean by this allegory?” Thus, God misguides whomever He wills and He guides whomever He wills. And none knows your Lord’s soldiers except He. And it is not except a reminder for the humans
[78:38] The day, the Spirit (Gabriel) and the angels (wal-malaa’ikatu) will stand in a row, they shall not speak except him whom the Most Gracious has permitted, and he will say what is right.
[89:22] And your Lord comes and the angels (wal-malaku) in row after row.
[97:4] The angels (al-malaa’ikatu) and the Spirit (Gabriel) descend therein by their Lord’s permission with every command.

- The severest punishment will be given to him when the angels take him in death who made false claimant of having divine inspiration.
